Kitchen Cabinet Question

My house was built in the late 70's, so obviously it has the famous brown 70's cabinets. Right now, I cannot afford a whole new set of cabinets, and was wondering if there was anything that I could put over them to make them look like oak, or a ligher wood color?

You can get them refinished. They will put vener over the cabinets and replace the doors.

what price range are you lookng to stay around? in reality you would be better off with just replacing the cabinets. being that there 30+ years odds are high it needs it. if you want numbers i know of 2 companys that do a good job, so pm me if you want
