View Full Version : Suggestions on bulk up or cut

Most of you know my size.
If not, I'm large, threatening, and should have the starring role in the 300 movie..
Anyhow, I'm 5'6-7ish, and 130-135lbs.
At this ridiculously high level of fitness, I'm not sure if I should be bulking up like hell, then dropping the weight..
Or cutting up and just working out with the 2g of protein per body pound/day.
I've been doing the cutting, but I'm just turning into a Jackie Chan body.
I would like to be a nice build, but naturally I'm about as small framed as it gets, so I'm not sure if it's even possible.
I've been working out a week straight now, taking creatine twice a day, morning, and before working out, as some people say to load it, some say not to.
Taking isopure whey shakes, eating only tuna/chicken/brown rice.. Around 2k calories a day I believe.
No fat at all except from light mayonnaise.
So far I've just been working on getting fit, which will of course take plenty of time as I haven't worked out in probably 2 years prior to this..
Suggestions?

Go heavy! Little dudes like you get sick looking when they bulk. Your low body fat % and small limbs mean that you'll bunch a lot of muscle under thin skin and look like a miniature Conan the Barbarian. Seriously though, double your calorie intake and adopt a heavy lifter routine. You'll be miniature cock diesel.

I would go with what Frankie said, at your size you don't really need to worry about getting fat.

You're about the same as me Mikey... I'm like 6'1" 175lbs... I'm gonna try the shit Franks been telling me and probably follow a schedual like his and just kill myself till I can't move.
I just got a call too saying my home gym frame will be delivered tomorrow so I'm thinking i'll start working on Monday morning before work...

Beats me :dunno: But little dudes look sweet when shredded. I say go for it! You short dudes get it a lot easier than us tall guys. Long muscles take a lot more weight and work to stick out like that.

I do 10x8x6 if I'm at the right weight. If I can get a 10x10x8 or a 10x10x10, that means it's time for more weight.

Plus, you're always cool with me, even if you scare the shit out of me by shining a flashlight at me while in uniform when we're at Coachman Park. That was you, right?

Nothing wrong with being lean. Just work out eat healthy and feel good about yourself. size will come over time.

If you start training* at griffonrawl you wont need to ask this question... just double your caloric intake (clean) and you will gain muscle mass without fat.

get in the gym, and start lifting.
aim for 6 meals per day with a calorie range of 2700-3000 per day
get a book on weightlifting.. if your new to the sport and dont have money to throw away on a trainer.. then spend $50 at borders and read.
