I think Kobe is completely overrated... Hes good but when you take 40-50 shots a game of course you are going to score 40+pts... But look at the Record of the Lakers 38-34 only 4 games above .500.

MJ led the Bulls to the Championship plenty of times by him self. Hes the greatist player of his ERA and most of ours..

Kobe is only one of the best in this ERA. I can name a few players who i think are better. Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki, Lebron James (For being as young as he is he will be one of the greatist soon).

theres a reason why he takes 40-50 shots a game tho, hes the only one that can do anythign w/ the ball, hints why he scores 30-50 pts in most the games.

but i agree Lebron will be GREAT in about 3 yrs, he doesnt play defence very well which is basicly his only weakness.

Nash, Dirk, Carmelo and Lebron are all better than Kobe in my eyes

I would disagree about him being the only one on the team. Look at what MJ had to work with. He had Pippen and then a bunch of role players. Kobe has players that can score, but he chooses to take terrible shots. I have watched a few Laker's games when Kobe was out and they looked like they could play. The problem is they don't get a chance to do anything with Kobe taking all those wild shots.

Not even debatable. MJ is the best to ever play.

Kobe would have to play another 15 years at an even higher level than he already is to match the accolades that Jordan aquired in his career. Look at scoring titles, 1st defensive team selections, career steals, MVPs, finals MVPs, rings, total points, ppg averages, i could go on.

Just because its been a while dont forget. MJ was raw on both end of the court.

its no contest. MJ is better. He was a more prolific scorer, did it for longer, won more titles, head and shoulders better defensively (they called him "the glove"). Mike also wasn't a dirty player or person, slapping players in the face continually, raping white girls, etc et al.

MJ was better, Kobe has all the tools, talent, and ability to be as good or better, but not the head to do it. Talent wise he may be the best in the game right now, but from a team standpoint he may be lucky to make the top 10... Wade, Duncan, Nash, James and others would help a team more than Kobe, Carmelo is not better, he is basically Kobe to a lesser extent to me, but remember Kobe is still only like 26-27 and still has a couple rings, it seems like hes been playing for fucking ever because he came out of high school...how old was MJ when he got his rings?

MJ never had Shaq to carry him on off nights either

MJ never had Shaq to carry him on off nights eitherMJ had a Pippen who was probably the best all around player in the game and could hit free throws in the clutch. But definately not the dominating force that Shaq was. The Bulls were one of those teams where everything came together perfectly, you have a great coach, the best player ever, Pippen who could do everything, they always had Paxton, Kerr, or Craig Hodges who could make it rain from three, a handful disposable bigmen to grab boards and clog up the paint, and everyone accepted the fact that Jordan was going to shoot and he was the man, hell even Rodman D'd up Malone, Duncan, and even Shaq when it came down to it.....Kukoc off the bench, we may never see another team like that again.
