I decided to take advantage of the nice light and my recent itch to take photos and snap some macro shots of plants and flowers in my porch garden. Enjoy.

My more artistic edit, I'm in love with this one.

My new orchid.

I know this is cheesy kinda, but I really like it because it is so basic and looked like a painting, It's gotten me in the mood to paint it.

The crape myrtle that survived out of Kiley Gardens downtown.

i have a hard time lookin at them cause it seems like the depth of focus is so short.. and some seem cropped too much to me. Nice stuff though, gardens are neat :)

Thanks for the comments. I've had some fun playing with my little macro add-on to my lens, I've discovered there are two options for that, its either zoomed relatively out and more in focus (ie the green leaves of the crape myrtle) or the short 'depth of field' that Clint mentioned, which really intrigues me since it brings into focus something you wouldn't normally see that well and makes it almost abstract, not just a flower.
