Ive never used yahoo, always used lycos before google, so I dont know how well yahoos search works... but what can MS do with it?

50 Billion once the acquisition is done will be nothing to them. Well, its nothing to them now. But just like Spectacle sad, Less competition = more market share.

yahoo has a massive share if webmail users - the revenue from advertising in that alone will recoup 50b in a year.

Soooo true. I love it. Google > Yahoo in every way conceivable. MSFT buying Yahoo can only make it worse. This purchase makes perfect sense to me, and I will continue to use better products tailored as tools instead of information gathering sales engines.
