I'm interested in watching/recording some stock car races, getting better tv reception, and I have some questions.
I have acquired a direct TV satelite dish and I am curious about ways to make it compatible with my ordinary TV.
The TV uses a regular antenna with coax down to the VCR/TV.
What do I need to do/acquire to make this satellite directional antenna work, to get better reception with regular TV?
I know it was designed for satellite reception and is highly directional.
Can I just aim it at the tall building in down town Tampa, that has ch 8's antenna, plug into my coax and pick up ch 8 for instance?
I know that some radar detectors work better than others due to antenna design. Does anyone here know about antenna theory as it applies to TV's? ....and/or how to make this work?-Bob
