View Full Version : Ambient light underwater cavern shots

Since I dive so much and so often, I thought I would get a waterproof housing for my camera (Canon A640) to use in taking some cavern shots. Soon I will spend the $500ea for 2 strobes so I can take shots inside the cave that will come out good, but until then, these will have to do.

I'll add more to this thread as I take more, but these are my first two so far...

my camera sucks, and the flash even worse.. but for 24.99 u cant go wrong. :lol:

Your camera do custom white balance?

Yes.

I didn't do that because this is how the entrance looks to me and the camera.

The color comes from the dissolved minerals in the water.

I have some where I did white balance, but the pictures didn't look as good to me. I'll one later today.

Well im sure once you get the strobes its going to come in handy

ya an SLR and manual white balance is a must for underwater photography
