World of Beer

Has anyone been here? They have locations in Clearwater and Westchase I believe. Just wondering about the atmosphere and stuff.

I've been to the bar and the store. The bar has no domestic beer what so ever. The atmosphere is pretty cool. It reminds me of a smaller McDintons. Chilled place with a small band. The bartenders know their shit too. So if you don't know what kind of beer you want just tell them what you like and they'll get you something that tastes damn near the same or better.

I'm not so much into drinking, but I want to take a friend to a nice place that does not have a club atmosphere. Thanks!

No not a club atmosphere what so ever. They usually have a solo guitarist or a 2 man band on Fridays.

World of Beer won my heart about a month and a half ago. I've been several times and I love it there. It's really laid back and the crowd is pretty good. The first time I went in (it was like a Monday so it was slow) I told the guy I like Yuengling and he let me try about 7 beers (since they don't carry standard bar beer). By the time I'd finished my sampling all I need was one or two beers and I was good to go! :p

However, I'll warn you now, it's NOT cheap. The bottled beers tend to be cheaper than draft! But just a tip, ask before you order if you aren't looking to spend a lot.

Music isn't too loud. There's an outdoor patio (at the one in Westchase) and it's pretty easy to chat out there.

What kind of beer are you into? I really liked the Raspberry Seadog (The bottled kind, not the Raspberry beer they have on draft-they're both Raspberry but not the same brand and they taste very different). Another beer I liked was the Blueberry Wheat Ale (on draft and also a product of Seadog). And if you're not into the fruity flavors, there's another one that I really like but I can't recall the name. Even after looking at the list on their website I still can't remember :(

It's a pretty cool place. I have been to the westchase one twice now. I don't really like their seating arrangement all that much.. But it's a fun place to hang out. There's this one beer that tastes just like Applejuice but has some pretty strong alcohol if I remember right. I believe its calld Woodchuck?

Anyways, go and check it out :) When I went they had this one man band guy that did a bunch of Green Day songs.. Wasn't too bad either.

That sounds interesting. I try not to drink much, but I still never made it to this place. Hopefully some day I'll go and have one beer... maybe even the apple juice beer. :lol:
