so i was lounging with the girl i'm seeing and she was laying on me, ah, nice and comfy, what a great evening.
when we were talking about something, or whatever, something came to mind.
and all of the sudden i thought. hmm. i wonder if i can do a few pushups with you laying ON me?
she weighs 105lbs, so i figure, haha, weighted pushups! I already love weighted pullups, so i just had to talk her into trying it.
yeah, they work really well! Does anybody know what percentage bodyweight your body involves in your chest when doing a pushup? figure, add, i don't know 100 or so lbs to that. it definitely feels different! hahaha.
It felt somehwere around the neighborhood of 185 lbs or so benching, except in the form of a pushup. i could definitely do a couple of them. the core involvement in keeping your back straight and maintaining proper form was tremendous. keep in mind as of this morning i'm only 153 lbs.
I may start doing weighted backpack/vest pushups as part of my heavy chest workout days.
