well you don't do anything to the zune itself. you change registry values to enable the windows shell to control it.

Why does it confuse you.. I was wondering how to make the Zune Drop and Drag instead of using the horrid Zune program. Its obvious it wont work on the OS X platform, so Im going to just use my gf's laptop.. no worries.

Im really not trying to start another apple vs microsoft debate, but it just seems like apple just wants everyone to be able to use the ipod, but microsoft has always been like, "you have to use us to use us"

You could also look at it as supply and demand. How many Apple users are actually going to buy a Zune? Being that Apple's market share is what 15%? There is most likely an even smaller(more likely minuscule) percentage of that group that would even consider buying a Zune. (Apple users tend to be extremely brand loyal). So in the end MS probably says why waste the resources, or it just a big "fuck you" to Apple.

It would only help MS to make the Zune Apple compatible. Think about it.

I'm sure a fix, or a hotfix is in the works.

Also - the other side of it is this - Apple needs to support the operating system to support things like a Zune, MS isn't going to make updates to the OSX so that their Zune works on Apple hardware.

I'm sure if MS could release software so people could install a program to make the Zune work on a fagbook or whatever your using they would, so that they could scoop up more of the mobile mp3 player market.

I see what you mean, But I personally like the product. Why should I be penalized for wanting to buy thier product. They could just have made is a mountable drive (like the gigabite s toshiba player) . It doesnt matter anyways Im gonna just pull music off my network into my GF's laptop and use it that way.
