Not only did he run for 296 yards, but he also had more total yards (315) than nine of the 17 other teams who played in the same time slot Sunday: Kansas City (234), San Diego (229), Denver (303), San Francisco (251), Atlanta (286), Arizona (195), Cincinnati (299), Carolina (199) and Tennessee (236).

He's the OROY hands down. He is what Reggie Bush should have looked like. I knew he was going to be good, but damn. I also thought he would be injury prone, so far so good. Way to pass him up Bucs.

To bad he'd get stuff in the back field if he were here... Minnesota has a good O line.. mostly Bryan McKinney.

I would say Steve Hutchinson is one of the biggest contributors on that line. He helped Alexander a lot in Seattle. I don't think Peterson even needs a great line. The kid is just amazing.

Every RB and QB needs a good O-line... don't fool yourself.

Explain Tarvis Jackson, hmmmmmm
He is making things happen vs a lot of running backs sitting back and waiting for things to happen

If you're comparing Peterson to Sanders, you should leave now also.
Oh and... for just about every big run Sanders had, he also had about 10 rushes for losses.

Peterson is a monster!
By the way, Bush got a decent amount of points this week...I think he's finally getting back to where he should be.

Who cares how many losses he had.. He'd still end the game with 220 on the ground and 2 Td's... It was only time before he broke loose.

Lol and? He had no QB, no line and barely any offensive weapons. So what if he had 10 rushes for losses. He still averaged 5.0 yards a carry and 8.3 yards a catch literally all by himself. I would watch games where he had no chance for positive yards and would some how get 20. If he didn't retire he would have been the best back to ever touch the ball. He was on a shit team for 10 years and still managed to be the best back in the league. I'm not comparing Sanders to Peterson. You said you need a great line. Well Sanders never had a great line, qb or WRs and Peterson has an average line with no QB or WR's and ran for 296 yards. He is a very special player already.

This is true, but he has proved so far he is an every down back. The future will tell.
