Those number are just frightining. But I dont take shit from the '72 Dolphins. The Dolphins played in a diffrent time and league. The League in my opinion was better in '72 . Less Teams. Better tallent on all teams because the tallent pool wasn't so streached thin. Plus they did it without free agency.

Both Teams will go down in greatness to me on par with each other.

you bring up an interesting point about the talent pool...i believe there are enough players that are good enough to go pro but i believe that in alot of cases the scouting has just plain failed (reggie bush?), also alot more players seem to get injured now mostly due to the longer season and the bigger and faster players

Your arguement is very valid. I think their is now way really to quatify either team.
They both are went undefeated in the regular season.
The only thing I disagree with is that players get injured more now than then.
Players back then were more likely to play hurt ; as opposed to the modern league.
I also think scouting was more important then. You had to draft and sign well or you went no where.


Like I say way to many variables . The 72 Phins and The 07 Pats could go down in my book as the greatest teams ever.. all the Pats need to do is finish this right and win the Super Bowl.

If the Pats win the Super Bowl and go 19-0, the 2007-08 Patriots would have to be considered the greatest NFL team of all time.
