Aside from the Harry Waugh Room, where are some of the best desserts in the greater tampa area? ...and of course what selection makes you pick the restaurant?

Alessi's Bakery.....any pastry in there will fuck your diet right up....just because you can't go in there and just buy one turnover or one danish.....

Both great suggestions, dulce de leche cheescake is the best! I am still looking for something a little more unique though...

Let's hear em!

yet again, I'm with Regina.. I <3 La Casa Dolce. I discovered it on a Pub Crawl once and from then on spent most of my weekday afternoons there studying (or pretending to do so) over a small gelato. The staff is excellent & so are all of their desserts. I just realized I haven't lived in Tampa in over 6 months but Wednesdays used to be $1 beers/house wines & one Thursday a month was the wine & gelato tasting/pairing. hands down the best $10 I'd ever spent. =]

I'm a hardcore Ciccio & Tony's fan but have only had dessert there a handful of times, every time being a surprise by someone I'm with. I hear they have an excellent/extensive dessert menu but wouldn't know because I'm never the one who orders it. I will say whatever comes to the table is always delish, though..

Best Desserts?? I wish Tampa had more to choose from for desserts.
It would be nice if they had Dessert-Cafes/Bakeries like NYC, Cali, and Chicago.
A nice place to sit, relax, and unwind with a nice cup of coffee and a variety of unique, creative desserts to choose from.
Watching Giada de Laurentis from the TV Network sampling delicious desserts makes me crave some.
Someone...PLEASE open up a Dessert Shop!! =)

The only place I can think of is Cheesecake Factory and SideBern's.
Season's 52 would be nice but that's only in Orlando.
The Fresh Market has a good bakery.

I like Bern's desert room, very good!

La Creperia in Ybor is a good place to eat/chill/people watch, they have one crepe with Gran Mariner and chocolate, yum!

Definitely. I've only had a couple but I know the one with white, dark, and milk chocolate mouse is AWESOME.
