Jan. 30 (Bloomberg) -- Rudy Giuliani withdrew from the Republican presidential race and endorsed rival John McCain a day after finishing third in the Florida primary on which he had staked his campaign.

``John McCain is the most qualified candidate to be commander-in-chief of the United States. He is an American hero,'' Giuliani said with McCain by his side at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.

yeah not liking the fact he could very well end up on the VP ticket; i wonder how many people will turn off from mccain if he does choose rudy as VP.

edwards dropped out too, btw. i actually liked him though, he's not a bad guy. he could do well as VP, yet with the dem choices, i'd prefer him to be pres and someone else to be vp.
