Some of you may already know this, but in a study in 1924 conducted by John E. Bauman, 2 chimpanzees by the names Suzette and Boma were tested for strength by attaching a rope to a dynamometer. Suzette, a 135 lb adult female successfully completed a 2 handed pull of 1,260 lbs and another of 905 with little effort. Boma, a 155lb adult male, pulled 846 with one hand.
Pretty impressive ratio if you ask me.
