13-4 I believe. Awesome game. Great win for the Rays. Could this be the Rays year? Probably wishful thinking. Oh well, as long as were better than last year.

Man Cliff Floyd looked like he did back in 2001 & 2005. This would be an awesome pickup if he was a 30/100 guy this season. We just dominated the shit out of the Yanks really. Sonnanstine pitched great too. I hope Edwin has a nice game tomorrow.

The Rays are going to be pretty good this year IMO, they have good talent on the team and I think they are finally getting there shit together and getting rid of the distractions

the rays always beat the yanks!
the rays have a good, young offense... even better when langoria comes in in about a month.
pitching is good 1-2, decent at 3, and eh 4-5.
i def smell our first over 500 season!

Caught the highlights on Sportcenter, they slipped and called them the "D-rays".
I hope the Rays get good but not "expensive ticket" good.

if they get their way and build the new stadium, you can bet your ass, even if they suck balls, ALL tickets will be expensive, there wont be any $5 seats anymore

I've been on the Edwin Jackson bandwagon for a while. I knew that a guy who threw 98 into the 8th was going to have a great career.

Its crazy, if Edwin gets out of the early jam he always gets himself in, you know he will be good for the rest of the game.
When most pitchers are fizzling out he's just getting on his game.
Oh yeah, and the Rays are 3-1 and have the top spot in the AL East.:D
Shields vs. Wong tomorrow should be a goooood game.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...an open air baseball stadium in Tampa Bay is a stupid idea.
That said, the Rays are looking pretty good so far...let's see where they are in September, though...

Basically saw the best 3 pitchers the Yankees have today.Shields had an "ok" game, 6 IP 2 runs isn't horrible. Pretty good defense and relief pitching kept us in the game though, which is basically the opposite of last year..
I have a feeling we will do pretty good tomorrow against Mussina.

Yea, i totally agree. I've heard so many people say that they hate the trop, because it isn't a traditional baseball stadium. Stfu. Baseball is played in the hottest time of the year, and in florida it still kinda hot during the day in November. The trop is huge, lots of seats. Its completely in doors. Its great for Florida, especially for Tampa. The only problem I've ever seen with the trop is the fact that balls hit the upper rafters some time. But seriously thats such a minor thing, they just need to get together and decide a finite rule on how to handle that situation. I support the Rays, and I support the trop. However, I'm not a diehard fan, so I wouldn't spend my hard earned money to sweat my gonads off at an outdoor stadium in the middle of Summer. Large screens at Prime Time Sports Grill ftw.

Ouch, sorry I've seem to have hijacked the thread with new stadium bashing
One thing I'm hoping for is that the brawl from spring training keeps carrying over. The more ESPN keeps bringing up the topic, the more national publicity the Rays will get!

The stadium is a decent idea if it was designed right. Because that area is much nicer than the ghetto its in now. But the plans are ass. Rain doesn't come straight down in Florida, especially Tampa. And unless you have AC directly on me, how the fuck can you pipe out the 100 degree heat? Plus you can pretty much kiss goodbye free parking and cheap seats.
