Yep, they would not publish a rebuttal from McCain to an Obama editorial that was published a few days earlier. Well that is unless McCain starts agreeing with obama on time table for withdrawal.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080721/ap_en_tv/ap_on_tv_obama_s_trip
For each of the weeks between June 9 and July 13, Obama had a much more significant media presence. The Project for Excellence in Journalism evaluates more than 300 political stories each week in newspapers, magazines and television to measure whether each candidate is talked about in more than 25 percent of the stories.
Every week, Obama played an important role in more than two-thirds of the stories. For July 7-13, for example, Obama was a significant presence in 77 percent of the stories, while McCain was in 48 percent, the PEJ said.
Thoughts?
The media is biased? :dunno:
Seriously... if people haven't figured out that the media outlets are biased, then they are blind.

I was talking with my buddies GF the other night. She said she was going to vote for Obama because thats all she ever hears in the news. so to a point the media is winning.

Your buddies GF is an idiot and should loose her right to vote.
Then again, if everyone that thought like that lost their right to vote, only about 40% of Americans could vote.
It's sad, but very true.

In regards the the editorial, it was the NY Times. What did you expect. They're one of the strongest of the Dems nutswingers. It's the only thing they are good at, aside from making up stories

And yet you guys throw the tin foil at us Ron Paul supporters because we cried he wasnt getting media coverage. Cause Ill bet you $100 if he DID get the media coverage Osucka and McNumbnut had he would have a majority of Americans on his side.

Madam Speaker, I have, for the past 35 years, expressed my grave concern for the future of America . The course we have taken over the past century has threatened our liberties, security and prosperity. In spite of these long-held concerns, I have days–growing more frequent all the time–when I’m convinced the time is now upon us that some Big Events are about to occur. These fast-approaching events will not go unnoticed. They will affect all of us. They will not be limited to just some areas of our country. The world economy and political system will share in the chaos about to be unleashed.
Suck his ballz rookie bia. It looks like Paul has been calling the shit storm we are in right now for a while now. But his ideas are laughable right? Would you please make a timeline of "big events" over hte past few years? Ill bet damn near none of them are "good" ones/

News Papers have bias, nothing new here. What is new is the 24 hour cable news networks who have lost all sight of impartiality (If they have ever had it in their sights is debatable).
There is no love between McCain and the NYT. I bet they are still pissed he snubbed them on his medical records, which he gave to the Washington Post and some Arizona paper.
Just curious if anyone read McCain's article and compared it to Obama's? Obama's original piece is his plan for Iraq, spelled out in great detail, what he wants to do and how. McCain's is just an attack on that view, with no alternative being presented by McCain (besides play it as it comes).

The proper reply to this is: "Why the hell should I have to pay for your health care?"
Christ, where the fuck do these people think funding for that shit comes from, the goddamn magic money unicorn or something?
Im starting to think Chuck was right about repealing the 19th amendment.

Aww did you get a bit pussy hurt over my comment? For every good idea he may have he adds 5 crazy ones to the point where no one can take him seriously.

once again he is NOT an isolationist. he fully supports free and open trading with other countries.
 do you guys read your arguments against this man? "he looks like..." is all you have really. Pretty sad when you GUYS are electing based on looks. Well Obama looks like a Dumbo elephant who rolled in the mud, so im not voting for him. McCain looks like he just rose from the dead, so sorry, he's not getting my vote.

Well my reasons why Pauls ideas are bad might not work for you or others, but here we go.
1. His desire to rid the US of the IRS. I, and I'm sure everyone else in America would love to never have to pay taxes again, but I don't see this idea as being feasible.
2. His delusional attitude to wards the federal reserve, and the fear that he might actually get rid of it if he could, returning us to the gold standard.
3. His views on smaller government I disagree with, but i do agree on cutting wasteful pork spending.
4. His non interventionist attitude, proof here is his reluctance to go to war with a country who harbored the people responsible for killing thousands of US citizens.
5. His desire to remove military bases from stable nations who have no problem with us there.
6. His support for tax resisters.
7. His policies on market interference.
8. His personal view on abortion and how he would vote it. He claims this is a state rights issue, i disagree.
9. His view on gay marriage being a state issue.

To comment:
1) a national sales tax could replace the IRS and be FAIR. The IRS is constantly being revamped because of its 'fairness' you and i see it all the time.
2)He wants a strong dollar, not one that puts us into debt as we create more. Do you know what happens when we print money to cover our asses?
3)Smaller govt is the IDEOLOGY of the REPUBLICAN party. Not to create the Dept of Homeland Security and other expensive departments.
4)lol, so where is this Osama guy at anyways? We are now involved in several wars, all bullshit.
5)This is to cut down on Federal spending, no other reason. Should we allow Germany to put a military base here in the states?
the rest are you personal opinions and the reason we can vote how we choose.

Not to take us back on topic, but Im starting to notice some 'fatigue' due to the excessive and gushing media coverage of Obama. I think Rush Limbaugh actually put it really well the other day when he described the media as 'self-apointed helicopter parents to the Obama campaign'.
I think this may end up backfiring on them. Polling regarding media bias on the election has been steadily moving in the direction of more and more Americans not trusting, and even resenting, what they are hearing about the candidates from the MSM.
Could an Obama loss be what it takes to get the media to drop all of this ridiculous bias and agenda-driven reporting? Or would it be yet another nail in the coffin of the traditional media?

You all should know, News Corp. (FOX News) took the truth to court and won. There is no law that requires them to tell the truth. Its entertainment thats all. Of course it happened in Florida, no surprise there.
McCain is getting more coverage because of the bias, the article was probably shit anyways.

Interesting...
In the latest survey, a plurality of Democrats—37%-- say most reporters try to offer unbiased coverage of the campaign. Twenty-seven percent (27%) believe most reporters are trying to help Obama and 21% in Obama’s party think reporters are trying to help the Republican candidate.
Among Republicans, 78% believe reporters are trying to help Obama and 10% see most offering unbiased coverage.
As for unaffiliated voters, 50% see a pro-Obama bias and 21% see unbiased coverage. Just 12% of those not affiliated with either major party believe the reporters are trying to help McCain.

really? you honestly think that people don't hear what they want to hear and call out everytime they see a transgression against their interests?
something tells me that you're not exactly one to rise above partisan politics or political bias.
