So, McCain was pretty much on the offense tonight, although he did wander on a lot of questions. Who do you think won?

It was the he finally woke up in the damn debates and kicked the shit out of Obama like he should have all along drug.

Notice how uncomfortable Obama was when McCain hit him hard, and backed him into corners. Obama stumbled, and looked for his teleprompter. Now replace McCain with Kim Jong Il, Khomeini, etc. The American people saw this. Goodbye, Obama.

Lol nah, he made up some bullshit on half of them, and nearly pissed his pants on a couple attacks. He couldn't predict McCain this time.. I hope we see a new McCain these next 3 weeks.

Ask a liberal though and he'll always say their candidate did best..blah blah... GTFO and admit defeat.

1st Debate: Went to McCain, had the floor wiped with him in "not understanding" hardly anything.

2nd Debate: BORING, but I felt like McCain was reaching out to the people rather than telling them what's going to happen.

3rd Debate: Clearly an eye opener for the media and Obama. Hopefully McCain stays gung-ho. Too bad he wasn't so tough 4 or 5 months ago. :(

Obama is going to win, and it is driving republicans crazy. Bush will go down as the worst president in American history (no matter how Iraq turns out), with the conservative movement being set back 20 years.

People hate the republicans so much, they are going to give democrats a majority in the house, a majority in the senate (maybe even 60 seats), the presidency and a majority on the supreme court.

So now republicans are foaming at the mouth, calling Obama a racist, a terrorist, an election rigger, a Muslim, a socialist and communist, but Obama's numbers just keep going up, all while republican negatives go up across the board.

Party of Lincoln ehh, well now its the party of Bush.....

Obama was and is the better speaker thats for sure.

However the meat of his "Resolve" revolved around either obvious, PC, redirected, and or open ended answers that sounded like a response.. but really wasn't much of one.

He is like an inventor of a product that cannot validate on how it works. McCain, for better or for worse, will sit down and show you the "How" and "Why" in his product... while blinking a thousand times lol

I also saw a character flaw in Obama when he chosed to redirect the "Hurt Feelings" of McCain.

PEACE-

^ pretty much sums it up.

Obama shut the book on the tax thing in the third debate... if you make 250+ your ass is going to pay - but if you make less than that you got nothing to worry about.

No one cares that he knew a guy who blew shit up back in the day.

No one cares that his father was Muslim.

No one cares that he is a supporter of roe vs wade.

Why dont they care? Because their IRAs and stock portfolios have lost 30% of their value in a matter of weeks.

That about sums it up, you are just another in the line of his supporters who wants free handout.

ETA- That makes a lot of sense, in times of economic crisis let's mandate small businesses have to spend more money in taxes, have to provide health care and punish their success. This will definitely lead to more spending and the economy recovering. :tard:

Oy, you obviously havent read the plan or even done the smallest reseach into it.

Obamas plan will tack on 4-8% additional taxes to business that make more than 250k in TAXABLE INCOME. A business that makes 250k in profits is not going to be hurt by a 8% hike in taxes.

On top of that, meduim sized businesses with over 50 employees will be required to provide health insurance for their employees and will receive a 50% tax credit on the premiums they pay for that. The benefit to employees well outweighs the very small burden on the business. Healthy employees live longer and work harder.

Someone making 250 thousand can definitely afford to pay slightly higher taxes over someone making 50 thousand. Mccain says leave taxes alone and have a spending freeze! But then promises to do dozens of things that COST MONEY. That makes no sense.

The shit state of hte economy cannot do anything over the next 4 years except stay shitty. I'll give change a chance and in 4 years America will let Obama know if we approve of the results.

And hell, if hes still alive I'll vote for mccain.

At 8% that's 20k a year, or a $10/hr employee. Given the state of the economy, I would rather a small business give someone a job than have to pay more taxes. That fact that Obama thinks any raised taxes is a good idea in this economy shows how idiotic and out of touch he actually is

Having employers help with health benefits is nice but it's not a right and companies should not be fined for not supplying it. A that point it ceases being a benefit and becomes an obligation and a burden

Someone making 250 thousand can definitely afford to pay slightly higher taxes over someone making 50 thousand.

Who are you to decide this? You don't know their financial status. Just because someone makes more than you doesn't mean they have money to throw away. Why should the government penalize it's citizens for being successful. To do so is blatant distribution of wealth, and leads us more toward socialism.

Mccain says leave taxes alone and have a spending freeze! But then promises to do dozens of things that COST MONEY. That makes no sense.

It makes as much sense as Obama saying that every dollar he'll spend he'll make an equal cut somewhere. The Democrats LOVE to spend and the man has yet to stand up once to his own party, so there is no way in hell that he'll come anywhere close to fulfilling that promise.

So that $20,000 will pay the health care premium for the entire office or hire ONE minimum wage peon who will probably quit in a month to work somewhere he makes enough to actually survive? I'll take the health care.

Bush cut taxes & deregulated - the present day economy is what we got.

The last time a democratic president said raise taxes and invest in ourselves, things turned out pretty good ;)

This is a fundamental difference of opinion, I believe it SHOULD be an obligation. All full time workers should have insurance.

Keep in mind, the employee still pays for a large portion of the plan - its not like the business is taking the full hit for it. They get half of it back in taxes, and another 20-30%(depending on the quality) is paid by the employees. Businesses that offer health benefits now already reap benefits in the form of increased attendance and more productive workers. Its been proven!

Who are you to decide this? You don't know their financial status. Just because someone makes more than you doesn't mean they have money to throw away. Why should the government penalize it's citizens for being successful. To do so is blatant distribution of wealth, and leads us more toward socialism.

It is personal opinion. The entire federal income tax is a redistribution of wealth. That cant be changed. We have things that need to be paid and people who borderline poverty cannot afford to pay it. Someone making 250k might have to cut back, but they aren't going to have to stop buying groceries or let their auto insurance lapse in order to do it.

a person making 55,000 a year that pays 11k or 20% a year in taxes has to live off of 44k a year.

a person making 260,000 a year that pays 63k or 24.3% in taxes has to live off of 197k a year.

If someone has to be taxed, Sorry but I'm thinking the 260k guy can afford to pay an extra 4% in taxes to help keep his country out of the red.

It makes as much sense as Obama saying that every dollar he'll spend he'll make an equal cut somewhere. The Democrats LOVE to spend and the man has yet to stand up once to his own party, so there is no way in hell that he'll come anywhere close to fulfilling that promise.

Clinton did it and still managed to conduct military operations in the middleeast while rolling in a gigantic surplus. I think I'll take his word on this one.

I think our government wastes *TONS* of money on stupid things, overpays on others, and is wasting more money on a hopeless war than we spend on education, border patrol, and roadway design combined. But that is not going to change in four years and probably wont change in ten. SO, the option is to get this shitty economy fixed now, or wallow in it by sitting around and complaining until the peso is worth more than the dollar and mexico starts complaining illegal immigrants are taking mexican jobs.

I'd be fine with that option as well, but the small business won't have either option under Obama because that 20k will taken away for taxes

Bush cut taxes & deregulated - the present day economy is what we got.

Wrong, the Clinton forcing banks to give loans to people who couldn't afford them had a lot more to do with the present situation than Bush's tax cuts. Do you homework Bush tried several times to regulate Frannie and Freddie before they failed. Get your head out of the sand. No one person caused this problem, and there is plenty of blame to be laid on both parties.

The last time a democratic president said raise taxes and invest in ourselves, things turned out pretty good ;)

Wow your history knowledge is pathetic. Last time a president raised taxes in a downturned economy, it deepened the Great Depression.

It is personal opinion. The entire federal income tax is a redistribution of wealth. That cant be changed. We have things that need to be paid and people who borderline poverty cannot afford to pay it.

Just because the tax laws can't be changed right now, that doesn't mean we should make it worse. We shouldn't even be raising taxes at all right now. Cut spending and taxes and give the economy time to recover. The economy needs companies that can afford to hire people. It doesn't need to tax and fine those companies just so it can give a few more handouts to those aren't ever going to try and find a job. That's pretty much straight out of the Communist Manifesto

Someone making 250k might have to cut back, but they aren't going to have to stop buying groceries or let their auto insurance lapse in order to do it.

Once again. You don't know that, and you're basing your entire argument on assumptions

If someone has to be taxed, Sorry but I'm thinking the 260k guy can afford to pay an extra 4% in taxes to help keep his country out of the red.

Why should he have to pay more taxes for programs he'll never use. Thats atrocious logic. Why should someone who is successful have to pay to support those who can't even be responsible enough to keep a job and keep their dick in their pants?

Clinton did it and still managed to conduct military operations in the middleeast while rolling in a gigantic surplus. I think I'll take his word on this one.

Did he now?
http://www.letxa.com/articles/16

BTW his "military actions" are a drop in the pan compared to Iraq and Afghanistan, so you comparison falls extremely short.

Also, his military actions were conveniently always around the same time that he was under increased scrutiny from the public (Lewinski, impeachment, etc) :gordy:

The government does waste money, and that's why spending needs to be cut across the board. Iraq is not going away anytime soon, so the sooner you accept that the better off you'll be. As for fixing the economy now, that won't happen. Economies are cyclical with high times and recessions. You can't just wave a magic wand and fix the economy. It needs time to recover, and it will recover a lot sooner if it isn't burden with more taxes and more government spending.
