Blood Perfume?

So I was talking to a friend of mine who mentions she wears "Blood Scent" perfume. It's not real blood she says, but it smells like it...mixed with a wide variety of other scents such as flowers and fruits and more conventional pretty smelling stuff...

but blood?

Now, it's cool this stuff is home made by a voodoo practicing vegan alchemist...and it's not made with any animal products at all let alone real blood...

But I find myself nervous at the thought of someone wearing blood scented perfume only slightly less than the idea of someone physically aroused by the scent of blood.

any thoughts on this one?

Sharks can smell it in water 2 miles away, predators use it to track...blood has a very heavy scent.

One of the nurses in the hospital said when she was drawing my blood, she could tell when my blood sugar was low or too high, because if it was high, it smelled like candy, if it was too low, it smelled like pennies. :dunno:
I do have diabetes, so I do get the random sweet smelling skin if my sugar is too high.

I've drawn blood quite a few times/seen some pretty gnarly injurys and been able to easily pick up a scent. :dunno: Thinking back, the first few times I witnessed a injury that resulted in copious amount of blood, I'm not sure I really noticed. (Assuming adrenaline drowned it out) It wasnt until I smelled alcohol in someones blood that I started to pay attention.

Regardless, I dont get the interest other than to sound unique. I'm assuming its supposed to be a subconscious thing the brain could possibly pick up on, but no blood I've smelled has been remotely appealing. Maybe its a repellent. :crack:

Blood can have a scent, it just depends on what's in it. Mine usually smells like copper/metal/iron.
