NW was ranked like 25th tho. lol. plus it's kinda hard to move up when everyone in front of you is also winning (or losing to teams in front of them). after #5 or so, it's a stalemate to move forward unless the top fall.

the only team i think they could have jumped would have been oklahoma state, who got waxed hard by the number 1 team. no one else in the top 8 or 9 before ohio state lost or had games where it was so close other teams could jump them. i'm sure there are arguments about how ohio state is "better" than utah and boise state, but those teams are still undefeated and worth being where they are (i'd bring in the "schedule or not" comment, but ohio state hasn't exactly had a huge schedule this year [and hasn't won the big ones they needed to], though i give credit with the rise of minn/NW'ern/mich. state, the big ten is a bit more competitive than normal within itself).


ohio state might be getting better as the year goes on, but when everyone who is ahead of you is still truckin', no matter how hard you try, you won't go past them. i can see ohio state getting down up to number 8 or 9, 7th at the MOST, if there are some interesting losses, but i have a feeling the rest of this season is gonna be pretty stale and predictable.
