Just _Existing_ homes? How about all of that _New_ construction?

This is a nice article with some good information - but I think the cliché: of liars figuring, and figures lying may still fight.

Omission is just as bad as a flat out lie. :dunno:

Those are "pending sales", which are under contract but have not yet closed. Betcha a good percentage of them don't make it to closing because the financing falls through.

I've seen houses in my area with SOLD signs on them for a few weeks, then the SOLD sign disappears and the house is back on the market again...most likely the financing fell through, or the buyer was unable to sell their current home.

All the while, the median price keeps dropping, dropping, dropping... :D

Exactly! There is such a huge overhang of inventory and so many REOs out here, that it really doesn't matter if they're selling a few more of them. The prices continue to fall, and we haven't even seen the full impact of all those foreclosures yet! Wait until 2009! :lmao:
