What are you taking?
As for me:
Mechanics of Solids
Fluid Systems
Kinematics and Dynamics of Machinery
Mechanical Lab
Computational Methods
What is your major??
I'm taking 15 hours over 8-weeks :crack: but then I'm done by March 1st and I intern somewhere the second 8 weeks, then I'm done!!!
Merchandising Organization
Merchandising Buying
Professional Merchandise Intern
Executive Merchandise Management
Intern/Career Prep
The suckiest part is that I have to dress "Business attire" aka business suits, to class, every. single. day.

they have business attire also for ME?
I am starting USF in january for Mechanical Engineering.
I am going to see an advisor monday on which classes to take.

No shit. I studied exactly zero minutes and zero seconds for all of them and got a 96, 96 and 100. The last one took me ten minutes.

I'm done with college now. :) I was thinking about starting graduate school in January but think I'm going to hold off until the summer semester. Need a little time away from the books!

I am kind of pissed off because I have to quit my day job to finish my Mechanical Enginering degree. USF offers NO night classes at all.

I know a lot of people that have in into that problem. If you have any EGN classes to take, some off those are offered at night, but the EML classes are almost never offered at night.

Unfortually this is the way it is.. I can milk HCC for about 2 more semesters though.
Hopefully a night shift opens up or I go back FULL time and just get a bunch of classes knocked out.

I have my AA minus Calc 3 and the two physics. I calculated it out and I have 91 credits and full time at USF is considered 12 credits and I have 2.5 years to 3 years left??? AFTER my AA??
Is this correct?? or can I take more than 12 credits?
BisquitMan

You can take up to 18 credits a semester, I am taking 15 this spring. Thank goodness I don't work, or I would be fucked.
If you need to take Physics 1 and 2, then you must have a bunch of EGN classes that you will need to take after you finish physics (you won't be admitted to the mechanical department until you have finished physics). I know some of those EGN classes are offered at night (Econ, statistics, circuits). After all the EGN's are complete, you will have about 4 semesters of mechanical specific classes left.

Is it after physics 1 or physics 2?
Yes, I notice it will be VERY difficult without a job. I dont know how I am going to do it without my job though.
Also, 18 credits is a lot. I was planning on taking 9-12 a semester.
I am going to be taking engineering economics in the spring at night. This is my first class at USF.

BTW, Econ is a very easy class. I think the only people that didn't get A's were complete morons.

I took 18 credit hours per semester for the last two years of so of my bachelors degree. As long as you dedicate time to study and write the papers, it can easily be done.

I agree, if I didn't have a daughter, I could easily do 18 credits.

Congrats. I could never be a teacher. I thought about doing education when I was younger, but I just don't have the patience. So, unless I was guaranteed to work with gifted students, I would go nuts.

Both of my parents were teachers. They enjoyed it for a short while but didn't like the money so they became professors. I think thats why I want to keep going with my masters and such.

There were a few classes that had tests. The classes were mainly my law classes since I've taken many classes to prepare for law school (if I decide to go). My major was Management and Organizational Leadership with concentration in marketing and HR.
We had a lot of papers to type but most of it was real scenarios that you would apply different problem solving, decision making, risk analysis, and other processes to see which would result in the best outcome.
So, it really does depend on your major. We had a few quizzes per week that weren't too difficult but the papers were the most time consuming aside of the capstone presentation.

Do you have to complete physics 2 or can you start taking the eml and egn classess WHILE taking physics 2??

You can take EGN classes after physics 1. You will need to complete physics 2 before being admitted to the mechanical department. I know physics 2 is a pre-req for some EGN classes (which are pre-reqs for EML classes). So you may want to get all the physics out of the way ASAP.

I got ya... they were saying you need to finish BOTH physics 2 before you can take any of those classes.

Whoever told you that is wrong. For the EGN level, you can take statistics and econ without any physics. Statics you can take after physics 1. Everything else (materials, thermo, dynamics, circuits) has either statics or physics 2 as a pre-req.
Edit: this link might be useful to you, click on each class to see the pre-reqs

Mechanical Engineering.

I knowwww, but I only have 2 business suits and I don't mind wearing heels normally, but walking up and down hills while being parked a mile away from my college really sucks!
And I actually found out that my schedule is easier than I thought: I'm taking 10 hours over 8 weeks and my last 5 hours will come from my internship. Now I'm looking forward to this semester!
