Utah's looking pretty damn good so far. 7-0, and that drive took all of 1:16.

Patrick

as much as i want to see the SEC do well, this is fucking fun to watch. utah is DOMINATING right now. I don't think anyone outside of the state of utah expected this.

edit: speaking of which, 21-0

Funny to see it, and yet another screaming argument for a playoff....that goes unheeded.

That was the same SEC West Champion that went toe to toe with the team favored to win the BCS and got PUNKED. Man, was that ever fun to watch!

Wow...wasn't expecting that...although Bammer was missing a couple of key O-linemen...that could explain the ease with which Utah got pressure on their QB...or maybe Utah is just that good.

I still think Florida or Oklahoma would beat Utah by double digits on a neutral field. Maybe we can have a playoff system next year and find out for sure.

I believe Satan's bunch was doubly digited as well.

So it begs the question:

If Florida was 11 points better than Alabama on a neutral field for the SEC Championship, and Utah was 14 points better than Alabama on a neutral field for the Sugar Bowl...who is the better team?

So it begs the question:

If Florida WITHOUT PERCY HARVIN was 11 points better than Alabama on a neutral field for the SEC Championship, and Utah was 14 points better than Alabama on a neutral field for the Sugar Bowl...who is the better team?

Good question...if we had a fucking playoff system, we could find out for sure!

dude...don't you understand? Florida sucks and shouldn't be in the national title. Someone has already taken the time to reverse engineer a few theories as to why Florida shouldn't be in the game. Even if Florida puts up 800 on Oklahoma, they shouldn't have been there because Utah was the better team. It's set in stone, if not for Utah I'm sure someone will post another ridiculous reason as to why Florida shouldn't be there.

Here's one to chew on. Texas Tech beat Texas, Oklahoma won the Big Twelve but lost to Texas and then destroyed Texas Tech. Ole Miss whooped up on Texas Tech and Florida lost to Ole Miss at home, but has the opportunity to play Oklahoma for the National Title. If Florida wins, doesn't that make Ole Miss National Champs?

Naah...Vandy should be National Champs...they beat Ole Miss in Oxford.

Wait a minute...didn't Florida beat Vandy in Nashville, though...heh heh...maybe the BCS DID get it right after all!

I have no doubt that UF not only deserves to be there, but should also win it, based on their performances after the Ole Miss game, there isn't a hotter team in the country. You miss the point, Utah like others (Texas/USC come to mind) should also be afforded an opportunity, but with out a fucking playoff we are left with nothing more than a mythical national championship.

Do any of you seriously believe Utah was the better team? Alabama just did not show up, I kind of blame this on coaching. Kind of like Florida vs Michigan last year, they did not really have anything to play for so just went through the motions.

Its just that simple, dont try to make anything more of this, if they played in the regular season, Alabama would have beaten them 99 out of 100 times

utah had more to play for. alabama did miss a few key linemen, but i dont know if that would have helped...maybe kept it closer. alabama just didn't show up, and maybe had a hangover from the UF loss? plus, it's the parity of 'any given day'.

i think most years, these "BCS Buster" schools really aren't that legit and get exposed in their bowls...like hawai'i did last year against Georgia, but every few years, one of the Buster schools is legitimately good. I think Boise State beating Oklahoma was a legit good team, and i think this year's utah team was legit too.

congrats to them though, they earned it, and a little pride.

I'd love to see the Pac - 10 expand to a 12 team school, add Boise State and Utah, and see how they fare. I'd say BYU, but I don't think they are consistently as good a school as utah and boise state can be. i redrew all conferences up as a plan for ten 12-team conferences instead of the lopsided conferences we have now, and if it not for politics and money, it might actually work. i even jotted down a playoff bracket for it.
