It's making some awful whirring noises and fear it may be going soon. Does anyone sell these or make something comparable?

Remove the fan and buy a GOOD heat sink for it. They die, they always have died. NB fans are pieces of shit.

welp, for the time being, i just disconnected the power for it. pc is about 100 times queiter now :lol:

yea if there is no overclock and decent air flow through the case it should be fine without the 1cfm fan :P

did you follow the rules of negative pressure?

Most sb/nb chips have thermals well into the 100s so I wouldn't worry about killing it if you have good airflow but i would remove the shroud & the fan to let more air flow.

yeah...it's all setup as is from the factory...it blows cool air out the back...it's workin. :)
