Need some input/advice. I got 3 hard drives. 2 76gb raptors and a 500gb drive. Unfortunately, the raptors are different models, the newer one has more cache, so I dont think I can Raid 0. I kinda dont want to mess with Raid anyways. I just installed XP on the newer model. Before this, I was using the older raptor as my main drive and had the page file on the newer one. I installed SP3, and it totally messed up my shit. So now I got XP on the new drive, and want to have my page file on a separate drive, but I also want to mess around with Windows 7 Beta. Im putting W7Beta on the older raptor, but should I put my page file on my 500gb storage drive or can I create a partition just for the page file on the older raptor to take advantage of its faster speed?

theres no reason to make it so complicated since theres no performance gain by using another drive for the swap.

a single hard drive cannot access the OS and the page file simultaneously. so by putting the page file on a separate drive, i thought performance is increased...

I think that used to be the notion back in the NT4 and Win95/98/ME era, but not so much any more.
