first event log press medley 8" 175lbs 3 reps,10"200lbs 3 reps,12"225" 3 reps, full clean and press each rep
going in i have clean and pressed the first six reps and cleaned the 225 12" but no press.
i had a ton of energy and blast the first rep didn't wait for the down call, no rep, whatever move on, i hit three good reps on the 8" log, and move to the 10" get the first rep, take a break hit the 5th rep, take a break clean the six and miss----good enough for 2nd
second event 600lb yoke 50 feet 360lb tire drag 50 feet
i get under the yoke and i run with it my fastest 600 yoke ever, so far so good i take a second getting my belt off to catch some wind, and i start with the tire, this tire doesn't want to move i pull with everthing i got i get it about 40 out of the the 50 feet- again good wnough for second
third event- 450lb axle for reps no straps
going in 3 reps is my pr
i set-up and get 3 reps easy take a break rechaulk 4th rep comes easy, then 5 i hitch nicely,
i get down for 6 and rip, i get it over my knees and my right hand starts to give weird as that hand never goes always my left, anyway i lean back rest the bar on my thigh and i re-grip mid rep i go from a normal grip to a monkey grip i pull and finish the rep. 3 rep pr for me but only good enough for 3rd place lol.
4th event- 270lb atlas stone over 52" yoke no tacky
i have never loaded over a yoke before only a platform so this could be interesting
i get the first one no problem, lap the second one and get it up and have to fight it over, i stop re apply the gorilla rag, goto lap the thrid slip regrip and lap it i get a big swing and push it over then walk away with time left lol. good enough for 2nd
5th event- 258lb keg 75feet to 265 hussafelt 75 feet
going in this event was only 50 feet each way, changed at the rules meeting, it had me a bit worried. if i finish 2nd or better i wiould clinch second place
i get the keg and run with it no problem, i am hit or miss on the hussafelt, but i get a good pick up and have a good pace, i finish in 36 secs, again good enough for 2nd
i get 2nd overall and a spot at nats
