Hiking through the mountains of Zion was a treat on it's own. I wish the weather would have cooperated more. My IR shots lacked the pop in contrast that I'm used to due to the hazy weather. At the top of Angels Landing/Observation Point & Bryce we probably had 30+ mph wind gusts. Scary stuff when you're 6,600 feet above sea level. Unfortunately, during this trip my D80 & 18-135 took a nose dive to the rocks. Only turned my back for a second. Lost the 18-135 and my P filter system with a GND filter. Shattered. :frown: I need to send the D80 out, but it may be time to score one of those D700's everyone is talking about. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the images. Please feel free to comment here or on my site. Thanks, John Last edited by SorsSalutis : 11-09-2009 at 11:44 PM. |

Nice, very nice. I have not made it to that part of the world but want to.
As far as haze goes, a circular polarizer does wonders on hazy days, try it out sometime. Although, I am not sure if shooting with an IR modded camera would cause any oddness with a polarizing filter. I'm fucking pissed because it rained or was mostly to 100% cloudy most of my trip, fucking hella pissed. |

http://jwbphoto.smugmug.com/Landscap...98568217_ZS7VT That should take you to Horseshoe Bend. Click on the photo and it brings up resolution options. Pick original and wait a few minutes for it to load. The full res is badass. Thanks dude. |

Just saying you could probably sell some of these pictures to help fund the new camera. These look very nice and really makes a visit out there something I want to do in my lifetime. |
