I know these are on my cell. I haven't pulled out my computer to load up my Canon. That will be soon. I have some good shots of the Milky Way from my backyard. You really do see every star in the sky. And this winter is going to be serious. We're supposed to get a lot of snow.

The move is definitely worth it. Been here 2 months and I'm glad I moved. The population is small enough where there is work most of the time. I was hired on pretty much before I moved. Did a 20sec interview with a full beard and started working 5 days later at a 4 diamond lodge as seasonal, haha. I am now hired on for the next 4 years, while I'm in school, and offered full time with OT while I'm in school if I can manage. There's always something to do here, too. And it only costs gas money to get there. Just about all entertainment is free here. Oh, and living is cheap, too.

P.S.
We have the Lake Placid Brewery here. It's a small pub, but there home brew is top 10 in the U.S. as far as volume sales. It's the Ubu, at 10.8% alc. Tuesdays it costs $2 a pint....... Yeah. I can't make it past 6.

sounds pretty awesome, I know your dog is going to love the cool weather up there. When it's actually got below 70 and there was a nice breeze my old Sheltie would just stand out in the wind happy as could be

I'm not paying $900 a month for a single bedroom... You can get a two bedroom apartment in town for $560. I've found a new 4b 3ba 2cg, lake front on 1/2 acre for about $1500/mo. Here, the prices really are all over the place, but it doesn't take a genious to find a deal here. They are all over. You can see a home that would fetch an easy $650,000 in St Pete go for $230,000 here.

P.S. It's that time of year.

From the canoe launch on campus. Going to hike Mount Regis this weekend canoeing out from here.

LG Voyager.

I was cooking at Whiteface Lodge over the summer, but it's slow season now. You can save up enough over the summer and not have to work most of the winter while still having fun. I'm probably going to be back there in December and January while I'm out of school. We get about a month for winter break.

There's 5,000 tourists in a town of 1,000. Lots of Russian girls, too. And campus fares pretty well. But no, no where near UCF status. But we have an Armory on campus. Have fun bringing guns to your school...
