Linking GMail to an Apps Account through Google:

I host my domains email through:

http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/business/index.html

Which was great, I had the gmail interface, and features and abilities for everything.

Then I got invites into voice, and wave - which was fabulous, I was able to log into voice, wave, and the groups that I was a member to through my name@host.com login all over google.com/whatever.

Then I decided to link a gmail account to my apps account (you can not use an existing account), so I created a new gmail account and linked it to the apps account.

After about three days I realized that the gmail account linked to the apps account was kind of pointless, and I wasn't really ever going to use it - on top of the fact that I now had to manage three email accounts instead of just the 2 (apps and original gmail). So I deleted the gmail off of my apps account.

In one day I lost my voice, wave, and all group memberships - and had to reregister all of my accounts (if available to).

Submitting multiple bug reports/feedback so far has yielded no response or effort on the Google side. The most annoying part is that the google voice number is still linked to my phone...

So the moral of the story is: Do not link your apps account to a gmail account if you have any concern about losing your other accounts that are linked to your apps account.

Or just don't integrate between apps and gmail maybe....

...looks like starting on Nov 20 some parts of Hillsborough will be able to upgrade to 5/40 packages with Roadrunner. No employee price breaks yet on this booger...15 more per month for existing 20Mbit customers or for me 30.00..plus a non waiveable 50 install charge because the new SMC modems will have to be installed and they include wifi.

I know there are a lot of IT admins that post here but might not frequent the F/S section. I have a barely used Cisco ASA 5505 for sale, and can set up/train whomever might need it. I bought it a couple months ago and then replaced it with a UC-520 VOIP system because the existing phone system died shortly after the 5505 went in.

Just wanted to give someone local a shot before it goes to Ebay.

$450.

Campaign story is badass. IW really tried hard to kill everyone off. I was really surprised at how many levels you fight through just to get shot in the face at the end. I thought it was a little short but overall great campaign. Now on to multiplayer.

Does anyone use a soundbar?

I'm looking for recommendations for a soundbar for the great room of a home that I'm currently having built. The room is 17'x25' with one wall of sliding glass doors (see attached pics for reference - faces of random people in the model blurred out). The TV will be placed on the light green wall where the plant is.

I am no where near an audiophile, and it will be used mostly for watching television, an occasional movie and listening to music through an iPod or on the digital cable music stations.

I would like it to sound "full" but not "tinny", and I would prefer virtual surround over stereo, but do not need a full 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound.
I have a Yamaha receiver with an iPod dock, but it doesn't necessarily need to be used with the soundbar if the soundbar is powered. I also have no problem purchasing a separate powered subwoofer if needed.

I will be connecting a Blu-ray player, HD Cable Box, and the TV.

My options for the room are a soundbar or the speakers in the TV, and the speakers in the flat screen suck.

Apologies for the pictures. They are from two different homes, but the same floor plan.

How do I setup email on it? Do I have to activate it or something with blackberry? It only has the option to connect to like work email right now that requires some password or something. I was trying to avoid the $30/month fee for just having a smartphone. Just wondering if I have to tell my carrier I have it and get the $30 plan to get yahoo email. Thanks.

So, I had a client today decide she wanted a password on her email. She decides shes going to open the properties of her mailbox and put a password on the pst file. She sees the dialog box prompting her for the old password, the new password, and to verify the new password. Problem is, she doesnt know what the old password is (hint, there isnt one). So she puts in a bunch of random info, now she cant remember what she set it as.

I have gone through and tried the pst19up.exe trick but unfortunately, it looks like this pst was setup in the newer format so that doesnt work.

Does anyone else have any ways to strip passwords off of .pst's or know of any kind of freeware utility that accomplishes this?
