Read this article and found some things funny:
http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/10386882/Former-Kansas-players-say-Mangino-was-abusive

---Quote---
The probe by associate athletic director for risk management Lori Williams began Sunday after senior linebacker Arist Wright complained to athletic director Lew Perkins that Mangino had poked him in the chest while chewing him out.
---End Quote---
So what if Mangino poked him in the chest? Doesn't this guy run full speed into opposing players multiple times a game, hundreds of times throughout college, and he is crying about a poke to the chest?

And there are other notable quotes about how he told someone he would send them back to where they came from to get shot...

Am I wrong thinking that these players are just being pusswahs and not being thankful that someone was dumb enough to give them a free education for playing football well?

---Quote---
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The NFL has fined Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams $250,000 for making an obscene gesture at Buffalo fans while celebrating Tennessee's victory over the Bills.

Commissioner Roger Goodell notified Adams of the fine Monday. League spokesman Greg Aiello said it is for conduct detrimental to the NFL. Adams was seen making the gesture while in his luxury suite and again on the field after Sunday's 41-17 victory.
---End Quote---
This guy is fucking awesome, I remember when Dolphins LB Bryan Cox flipped the double bird to Buffalo Bills fans when entering the stadium back some time in the early 90's. Back when Buffalo-Miami was THE game.

250 grand fine is fucking rediculous though

Kudos also go out to Onez for being the only one to pick Rutgers on Thursday night. USF fans, please PM him your haterade mail, instead of mucking up this thread. Kudos also go out to JuicedSS262 and myself for the upset pick against USC. Stanford may have the worst mascot ever (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanford_Tree) but I was really happy to see that frackin big ugly grinning tree whoopin the Trojans. I givith and I teketh away....shame points also go out to JuicedSS262 for having a lowly score of 445. Shame on you.

PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR SCORES!!!

*_What did we learn - Week 10_*

Guest speaker!!!!

---Quote (Originally by nipster)---
USC and Miami are fucking FRAUDS.
---End Quote---
- USC's reign of terror over the Pac 10 is over. Stanford blindsided them 55-21 and removed them from the Pac 10 title hunt that they alone have held for 7 straight seasons. Pete Carroll responds (http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/128358-harbaugh-ticks-off-carroll?eref=fromSI) with "What's your deal? What's your deal?" To which he gets the Harbaugh response of "What's your deal?" Couldn't have written better myself.

- Miami. Well.......we could have seen it coming. While they did knock off a booming Georgia Tech team in Week 2, the other 2 big wins came from teams we know to be frauds now. FSU and Oklahoma were definitely not as good as we once thought. Hopefully they get a good bowl and close the season out well. I'd personally like to see USC and Miami go at it. Just hope they can get past USF...

---Quote (Originally by nipster)---
Tennesee: I'm sure you will be able to get this one right, they didnt show up, it's like the entire team was in jail for armed robbery.
---End Quote---
-That's actually the only thing we can think of. Tennessee's wheels just completely fell off and Lane Kiffin's butt is gettin a little warm knowing that his reverse psychology ideology to the media is not working. Anyone else see the way he awkwardly looks at the camera during press meetings? It's damn weird.

---Quote (Originally by nipster)---
USF: back to 1AA for you pussies. You wont be shit until you fire your piece of shit coach Leavitt. It's obvious, they have talent but no fucking direction or leadership whatsoever.
---End Quote---
-Now now....be nice. :lmao: Which coaching position is more uncomfortable right now...Blobby or Leavitt?

- TCU is proving that they might be better than everyone thinks. Seriously though, did ANYONE actually watch the primetime game?

-Ohio State is the Big Ten champion. Yawn.....WTF cares. They'll probably epicly lose yet another BCS game to an OOC foe in a few months. Wish we could have OSU and Cinci duke it out in January...instead we have some stupid contract and the PAC 10 will play. :(

- Florida is 10-0, wins it's first regular season SEC perfect record since 96, and Tebow tied the SEC career TD mark at 53....yet I was still screaming at my TV. I love these guys and this season!

*_Week 12_*

- USC's reign of terror over the Pac 10 is over. Stanford blindsided them 55-21 and removed them from the Pac 10 title hunt that they alone have held for 7 straight seasons. Pete Carroll responds with "What's your deal? What's your deal?" To which he gets the Harbaugh response of "What's your deal?" Couldn't have written better myself.

- Miami. Well.......we could have seen it coming. While they did knock off a booming Georgia Tech team in Week 2, the other 2 big wins came from teams we know to be frauds now. FSU and Oklahoma were definitely not as good as we once thought. Hopefully they get a good bowl and close the season out well. I'd personally like to see USC and Miami go at it. Just hope they can get past USF...

Safety Janzen Jackson and receiver Nu'Keese Richardson (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=480241), two of Lane Kiffin's most prized signees from his first recruiting class, were among three Tennessee (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=2633)football players arrested early Thursday morning in Knoxville on charges of attempted armed robbery.
The third player arrested was also a freshman, defensive back Mike Edwards.
According to a Knoxville City Police report, the arrests stemmed from an attempted robbery outside a convenience store near campus. A powered pellet gun was recovered in the players' car after they were stopped by police near the Gibbs Hall dormitory on campus, where the Vols' freshman football players live.

At least one of the players arrested was wearing some type of Tennessee gear during the attempted robbery.
"At this time we are currently evaluating the circumstances surrounding an incident involving Mike Edwards, Janzen Jackson and Nu'Keese Richardson," Tennessee athletic director Mike Hamilton said in a prepared statement. "Any decisions or comments regarding their status will not be made until the evaluations are complete."
As recently as Wednesday, during the SEC coaches teleconference, Kiffin had praised his team for not having any off-the-field problems during his tenure and had repeated several times this year that the Vols had been free of any such incidents.
Jackson had started in all but two games this season for the Vols and had emerged as one of the better freshman players in the SEC. He was suspended for last week's Memphis Tigers (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=235) game for what Kiffin said was a violation of team rules. According to two sources, that suspension came on the heels of a failed drug test.
There was some speculation a week ago that Richardson might be considering a transfer when he wasn't at a practice, but Kiffin said there were no issues and that everything was fine. Richardson scored a touchdown in the Vols' 56-28 win over Memphis last week.
A Pahokee, Fla., product, Richardson was at the center of Kiffin's dust-up with Florida coach Urban Meyer last February. Richardson had been committed to Florida for some time, but switched to Tennessee on signing day. The next day at a Tennessee recruiting breakfast is when Kiffin made his comments alleging Meyer cheated to get Richardson and still not being able to sign him. Kiffin was reprimanded by the SEC for those comments.

---Quote---
RUSTON, La. – Is it cowardice or collusion?

Boise State athletic director Gene Bleymaier is all but begging for a major opponent – any major opponent – to play his Broncos, particularly in 2011. He can hardly get his calls returned. Not by the SEC. Not by the Big Ten. Not by anyone.

Bleymaier is making a nearly unheard of offer in college football scheduling – Boise will bring its popular, high-profile, top-10 team to any stadium in any town to play any big name team in America in 2011. And they don’t have to return the date in Idaho.

So far, no one has bit.
---End Quote---
I know none of the top schools want to risk getting beat, but this is sad. I'd be all for having them come to USF and play. Win or loose it's free publicity, and you could tout that yours was the only school ballsy enough to take them on. If you lose it's an early loss to what will most likely be a ranked opponent (based on their success the past few seasons), so it shouldn't hurt BCS ranking too badly

Kudos go out to.....ME. I finally came out on top after weeks of miserable picks. I was the only one to get the last 4 games correct and I've been awarded 10 extra points. Kudos also go out to Miles for his picking of Stanford over Oregon. For having gigantic balls he was awarded an extra 10 points. Shame points go out to Monkey, but mega shame points go out to TampaDude for not filling his ballot out and then blaming it on my vacation. Didn't think I noticed your post, huh? We should all collectively laugh at him.

*_What did we learn - Week 10_*

- Florida and Bama are going to meet in the SEC Championship Game on December 5th for a rematch of last years epic. Should both teams be undefeated at the end of the season, the winner will move on to play for a BCS title.

- Put on your tinfoil hats. While I may not believe the SEC paid off refs to keep Florida and Bama in the big game, there sure is some pretty damn good evidence for it. The botched replay enforced missed interception in the LSU/Bama game is one of the worst I've ever seen. If I were Les Miles I would have had a blank check ready for the shit that would have spewed out of my mouth.

- If you missed Jahvid Best's scary fall into the endzone you can see it here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzKKUJ5eRxo). Thankfully, as it turns out, he only suffered a sever concussion. After seeing them remove his jersey on the field to administer an oxygen mask and other tests, I thought he was dead. I'm really glad I was wrong.

- Cincinnati has one hell of a backup QB. Zach Collaros was 29/37 with 480 yards of passing and 13 carries for 75 yards. Unfortunately, Cinci's D gave up
462 yards for the 711 earned. Defense is not a strong suit in the Big East.

- Houston needed some serious magic to pull a win this week. Down 45-37 with 3:28 remaining Case Keenum led the Cougars on a 13-play, 61-yard drive, culminating in a 1-yard touchdown pass to James Cleveland with 21 seconds remaining to make it 45-43. Houston then recovered the onside kick, drove the field and kicked a 34 yard game winner with :03 on the clock. WOW....

- It has been confirmed that one man team FSU QB Christian Ponder is out for the season with a shoulder injury.

- Blount has been reinstated. Those of you who actually care can lock yourself in a closet and cry yourself a river. Nobody gives a shit.

- Terrible day for the College Football and the major polls....said best by Stewart Mandel from SI...

---Quote---
One of the most inexplicable voting decisions of the season took place in the human polls this weekend. Obviously, Oregon figured to drop following its 51-42 loss at Stanford, but in an utter disregard for common sense, voters in the coaches poll dropped the Ducks from No. 8 to No. 16, six spots behind USC (No. 10), a team with the same 7-2 record whom Oregon stomped 47-20 just a week earlier. Voters in the AP poll reacted much the same way -- the Ducks fell three spots below the 11th-ranked Trojans.

This is a classic example of voters arbitrarily punishing a team for a loss without accounting for any context. Consider: Oregon fell more drastically (seven spots in AP, eight in coaches) for losing on the road to 5-3 Stanford than Iowa did for losing at home to 5-4 Northwestern (five sports in coaches, seven spots in AP). But more inexcusable is the failure to account for USC -- which itself rose two to three spots following an unimpressive 14-9 win at Arizona State.
---End Quote---

*_Week 11_*

I've picked this week to do 17 games. There are tons of very difficult matchups and I hated just keeping it to 12 games. Take time on the larger games...the #17 game is worth 85 points alone.

1. Michigan at No. 20 Wisconsin
2. No. 7 Georgia Tech at Duke
3. Florida State at Wake Forest
4. No. 14 Miami (FL) at North Carolina
5. Auburn at Georgia
6. Kentucky at Vanderbilt
7. Nebraska at Kansas
8. No. 24 South Florida at Rutgers **THURSDAY GAME**
9. Tennessee at Mississippi
10. Stanford at No. 9 USC
11. No. 2 Alabama at Mississippi State
12. No. 1 Florida at South Carolina
13. Notre Dame at No. 12 Pittsburgh
14. Arizona State at No. 13 Oregon
15. No. 10 Iowa at No. 11 Ohio State
16. No. 16 Utah at No. 4 TCU
17. No. 25 West Virginia at No. 5 Cincinnati
