Controversial cadaver exhibit "Bodies" to show in Tampa Aug 20th

This exhibit is currently under review by the state anatonical board and awaiting approval from the Atty Generel. I saw a book in massage therapy school a few months back with hundreds of these photos of cadavers posed in real life situations. If you can get a chance to go, by all means go ! It's educational and you'll never look at a human body the same ever again.

It's supposed to be showing at MOSI and Tampa Museum of Art in downtown Aug 20th. Tampa is the very first location in the US to have this exhibit presented. I hope they'll allow this for educational purposes.

Really cool , I saw an exhibit at the smithsonian where they sliced a human body into 1/8" inch sections and put the slices between glass, and hung them on the wall, you could flip through it like reading a book

Think I saw something about it on the news, apparently there's alot of people bitching about that don't want it shown.

It does look pretty cool. I dont know if i want to see a bunch of dead bodies though

If those that had a prob with it would see it, they would realize it's more beneficial and educational than anything else. Wouldn't you like to see what your lungs will end up looking like after 40 years of smoking ? If that doesn't make someone stop smoking, I dunno what will.

The cadavers are in poses doing different things and every thing is in tact and preserved by this silicone material. It's not like you'll see rotting flesh... that would be kinda gross, lol. Check out the Mosi link, they have a pic of one of the bodies.

Not that its gross, just kinda creepy...just the thought alone makes me thing house of 1000 corpses. Really if I wanted to see dead bodies, I would go dig the up in the back yard

Are these the sculptures made from real human parts ? They had them on the SMITHSONIN 1 time and they also apperd in the movie House on Haunted Hill .
