Ex-US President Jimmy Carter has said Israel has at least 150 atomic weapons in its arsenal. The Israelis have never confirmed they have nuclear weapons, but this has been widely assumed since a scientist leaked details in the 1980s. Mr Carter made his comments on Israel's weapons at a press conference at the annual literary Hay Festival in Wales. He also described Israeli treatment of Palestinians as "one of the greatest human rights crimes on earth".

Well....seeing as how they want to blow up iran and syria for having them, or thinking they do...so how exactly is that fair? Why should israel be allowed to have them, and not tell anyone, but when iran or any other non-us ally has them it turns into the next "war on terror". Can you tell me that? Like i said, carter is not the best source. But as you can see, i have cited more than just Mr.Carter.

And you can defend israel all you want, but they ARE doing some of the same exact things the nazi's did to them to the palestinians. everytime theres a haamas attack they go into palestinian land and tear down whole neighborhoods, displacing families and destroying lives. How do you think the palestinians are going to react. How would you of felt if instead of palestine the brits gave the jews florida? How would you feel if everyone was displaced from FL so that the jews could have a home after the holocaust? It wouldnt be very peachy would it? You think that americans would just stand aside and let them take thier homes and livelyhoods?

Blow up Iran and Syria? They have done nothing to "blow up" Iran over nukes, and the Syria attack was about as surgical as you can get. They next time the leaders of Israel start shouting they are going to wipe the other middle eastern countries of the map then you can worry about them having nukes. First of all...there has never been a country of Palestine, so "Palestinians" never had a country to be "kicked out of." Secondly, the Ottomans ran that whole region, they lost the war during WWI therefore lost their land. This is where the Brits and French came in. The brits got the great land that included what is now Israel, Gaza, West Bank, Jordan, and Iraq. Jews and Arabs have been fighting for centuries because of their religious hatred.

Jews didn't just show up one day claiming the land as their own because god said so. The brits attempted to set the borders with Jews and Arabs living together but noticed, due to the hate between the two groups, this would not work. They suggested a two state plan...Jews said, "yes" Arabs said, "no"

Israel declares their independence and claims the borders that were given to them in the British(now the UN's) two state plan, and gets attacked by Jordan, Syria, Egypt, and Iraq with extra forces from Lybia and Sudan. Now, the plan behind all these Arabs attacking was to drive the Jews into the sea. They told their fellow Arab brothers within the newly created Israel to leave so that the Arab armies could march in and not worry about killing Arab brothers. The majority of these "Palestinians" that you claim were forced out left on their own.

Funny how the Arabs with Israeli citizenship generally have the best standard of living and actually have representatives within their(Israel's) government.

It would have been a better idea for the US to invade the main island of Japan leading to a much more drawn out and destructive war leading to millions of civilian deaths on top of a calculated million american soldiers' death. It also would have been great when, not having seen the devastation of nuclear weapons, Russia and the US went and started a nuclear war and nuking half the world.

You are forgetting the supply of chemical and biological weapons that were stockpiled in the Pacific Islands in preparation for the invasion. Now, I don't have a source but I have heard the facility that was constructed to properly dispose of all that ordinance was in operation as long as TEN YEARS after the war. That is a fuck ton of ordinance to destroy. Basically the nuclear bombs saved the Japanese from complete annihilation.
