Thumbs down Obamacare passes, we are all fcked

Wow, Pelosi likens the passing of this healthcare bill to the passing of social security and medicare......two very FLAWED programs rampant with fraud, one of which will fail before our generation gets to take advantage of it. Well spoken Pelosi, your words are more true than you'll ever know.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009...care-overhaul/

Fun facts:

1) only 2% of americans would even consider using public option.

2) the health care bill will ONLY work if they raise $165b in fines from people who refuse to get insurance and employers who do the same (funny if this is the end all be all of health insurance fixes)

Liberty dies to the thunderous applause of House libtards. Xynapse probably had a libgasm over this. That healthcare bill is more of a tax bill. Good news for accountants, I guess. Taxation will become more restrictive and more costly because of this bill -- time to go Galt.

I was listening to this debate today. To my understanding, both the Democrats and the Republicans had 4 hours each to debate this bill and vote on amendments. I saw one side ignore all the problems we face, as a nation, and totally attack this bill and counter it by offering a plan that is said to increase the deficit by $94 billion in 10 years; along with the data to show and it wouldn't do anything about the uninsured. Then the other side offers a plan which seems to cost $900 billion over 10 years covers almost everyone, yet saves us $81 billion in deficit spending in 10 years. Why is this?

I think it's because of the unemployment, the people with pre-existing conditions that are denied coverage, the rising cost of healthcare, the incentive to waste and of course the greeeeed. Since this is mostly an employer based insurance system there will be a ton of people in the future without health insurance as our population grows if nothing is done. This is where our deficit spending increases in Emergency Care and other programs that would not be as effective as this bill.

The bill offers something pretty close to Universal Healthcare by expanding the private insurers through regulation and by offering a public option to fight rising costs. I think that is pretty much close to insuring everyone.

The bill supporters basically claim that insurance companies will no longer deny pre-existing conditions, the insured will no longer be dropped in the middle of a life saving costly treatment, eliminate the donut hole in Medicare, not cover illegal immigrants, not fund abortions and eliminate the number one cause of bankruptcy in the United States.

The bills proponents basically say that it is a bunch of crap sandwiches for everyone.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

The plan is to pass it so that it looks good on the libtard resume', then when the senate bill and this one are negotiated, try to kill off all the BS like the socialist option.
this way the libtards can say they passed a sweeping reform bill that was dismembered in the senate by those evil Republicans.

in any case, it's about 1 out of 6 dollars that is going to disapear from the private realm.

I can't believe how much you people don't know about how your own system works, and how little knowledge you have on how a healthcare system like this works.

go live in a country that has something similar, then come back and comment on it.

Yes Australia has it.........but let us look at a few things.

Your population 21,618,330. The US' population 307,887,884. You fall in between the states of Texas(24,326,974) and New York(19,490,297).

Your unemployment rate 5.8% vs. ours 10.2%

So our reported 31,404,564 on reported unemployment is more than your whole population.

The government can not give adequate health care to those under the Veterans Administration, which is a very small portion of our population. Yet feels they can go after it nationwide.

Canada and Brittan also have it and how often are people leaving those countries to get medical procedures done?

There are many people turning in their graves right now.

Wow! You guys are just completely in some kind of Lalaland. It will pass the Senate. All they need is 51 votes and they have 54 and rising I believe. There was one Republican in the House that voted for it. That guy is awesome. Talking about putting your "country first" and actually doing it are two completely different things.

Yeah we'll be fucked. But in fairness lets take another example, france.

France has socialized health care, and spends 11% of their GDP on healthcare, which they feel is WAY too much and are trying to get out of that system, which they can't because the people view it as a right, like we view social security.

The U.S. at the moment, has somewhere in the vicinity of 20% of the people on government healthcare, between the VA, medicare medicaid and everything else. And at the moment, for that 20% or so we are already spending 17% of our GDP on health care.
