That's what we have waivers for.

I was in with people that had narcotic sales convictions, admissions of use of methamphetamines, tattoos on the neck/wrists, GEDs...

Also, overweight can be "fixed" by doing neck excercises to thicken the neck so your neck:stomach ratio is acceptable.

You now need a 17 on the ASVAB to join the US Army, I talked to someone with a 19. (I scored a 94 racing through the test in 20 minutes.)

They didn't used to give out waivers like they do now. Theres no lie about it. They give out waivers for the army cause thats the only way they will fill the numbers.

The problem is parents nowadays are a bunch of fucking pussies with no clue that telling your children how awesome and great they are on a constant basis contributes to the overinflated sense of self worth and entitlement youth today have. Its good to let your kids fail from time to time so they learn how to deal with it and learn from their mistakes.

Back in the day we had things that put us outdoors or kept us busy. Church, Scouts, family outings. When I was 12 and bored we grabbed our fishing pole and went fishing, bike riding or went skateboarding. Nowadays kids grab the closest video game console r sit texting to their friends two houses down.

its even worse when one of the dumb people get in the military, slip through the cracks, and get an nco position. Thats where the army really fails. Hell a sergeant in my unit pissed hot on a drug test. the platoon sgt thought he was acting funny, so he drove him to the mp station, ensured probable cause was evident, and had the urinalysis nco administer a test.
He lost his sgt, hes now a specialist, he is getting reclassed (aviation doesnt mess around with drugs. With few exceptions, everyone ive seen pissing hot gets reclassed to something like cook, infantry or truck driver.) He got caught a month ago, he is now pcsing to ft stewart (hunters sister base) and then will be sent to whatever shit school he got to choose from.
