Republican candidate Ron Paul should have your Democrat or Libertarian Vote
and here is why
Firstly, I know it's hard to get behind a long shot like this. You hear some of his ideas and beliefs and you think "ya thats pretty good" but he's a "second tier candidate". Now... isn't that some bullshit? I mean what really makes a second tier candidate a second tier candidate. I think we all know in this case. But I gotta tell ya, the way Dr. Paul's campaign is pickin up steam is getting very exciting. This really is something doable. Not only could it fix all the bullshit of the current administration, but decades and decades of unneeded bullshit set in stone to fill agendas. Now a lot of insiders wont like it, but with Dr. Paul as president it will be done whether they like it or not. It's time to wake up! It's time to get angry about the smoke and the mirrors and the hidden corporate agendas and international banks. It's time to look into whats going on out there for yourself instead of relying on your parents, or co-workers, or friends, or mainstream media to do it for you. The time is now and now is the time. read, learn, watch, comprehend, get out there and do something! http://youtube.com/watch?v=IWfIhFhelm8 http://ronpaul2008.com/ It's a gorgeous day/evening outside down here, and I'm off to go get drunk and tell more people about Ron Paul. till next time... enjoy my sig |

I like being independent, but they don't let us vote in the primaries, which I think is bs. I have never understood why that party affiliation has not been allowed. But the plus side to it is, I don't get hounded with one party calls during election season. I get like general survey calls, did one last night on subjects of the war, impeachment, abortion and dems, repubs and indies, and which person running from each party would I vote for if the elections were held tomorrow kind of stuff. |

In some States independents are allowed to vote in the primaries. It depends on the party and it depends on the state. The theory in those states being that if a candidate motivates an independent to vote for them in the primary then that person probably has a better chance in the general election. Quote:

so so far throughout this thread all Im hearing is the same shit I already addressed in my 2nd paragraph. God damnt people. Thats the whole point of this thread. Help push this along... Im no better than you or anybody else, and I made this thread, and how many people have read this thread......
my point is, everyone can do their part.. join in the cause, tell everyone you can... demand Ron Paul as the republican candidate, hes already said he is never going to run for independent which means if he doesnt win the republican nomination he is out.. and the god's honest truth is, this is what the republican party needs, not the elite, but the standard republican party.... Ron Paul is their only chance Rudy doesnt know his head from his ass and imo is a huge fucking embarassment to them... the only way they will give is if the american people lets them know.. so.... let them know we really can do this.... Nobody is going to vote for Ron Paul. Rudy is the most accomplished politician in either party. I think Fred Thompson is the wild card in the GOP primary but Rudy is going to have the money and the infrastructure to get him over the top in the end. Assuming he does win the primary, he's going to present a number of difficult problems for either Hillary or Obama if he wins the GOP primary. Rudy can compete in New York and I can't see Hillary taking more than one state in the south from Rudy and I'd be surprised if Obama won any state in the south. Obama is not ready to win a Presidential campaign yet. When the campaign unfolds no other candidate is going to have the sort of accomplishments that are going to compare in the format of a Presidential politics when standing beside Rudy. Ron Paul is not a serious candidate and everyone knows it. |

Rudy, if anyone is not a serious candidate, is not the serious candidate.
the motherfucker doesnt even know his own foreign policy. And as for New York, you must be mistaken... or you dont know any New Yorkers... Rudy is so hated over there its unbelievable they have been able to make his fake ass campaign go this far. I understand where you are coming from, you are going by everything you have ever known in a presidential race. However, you are underestimating the pissed offness of the American people and thats a fact Jack. we'll see... |

My prediction is if the Republicans put Rudy McRomney on their ballet, the White House will go to the Democratic party. Period. The Republican Party needs to save face in public opinion, now I know you won't agree with that PM, but public opinion is what wins elections.
Rudy is nowhere near a better candidate than Fred Thompson. I wish I could link the poll from a few weeks ago that listed Fred Thompson as the forerunner, and he hasn't even officially declared he will run. Ron Paul was a Libertarian presidential candidate in the past, if I recall correctly. If it comes down to Ron Paul or maybe even Fred Thompson, I will vote Republican in 2008. My other option is stay home, or write in either candidate. has anyone started making "Anybody but Hillary" bumper stickers, yet? ETA - About the closed primary issue. FL, like all closed primary states, has closed primaries to prevent Democrats from fucking up Republican elections by nominating the worst candidate, and vice versa. Being an independent, that sucks for me because I would vote in the Republican primary for either Paul or Thompson. Oh well. Last edited by Iroc Joe : 07-20-2007 at 10:14 AM. |

Filed away for future use. Trip, do you think people aren't going to vote for Rudy because he did some SNL episodes and had some fun with comedy roasts/events/functions?
BTW, I'm not even saying I'm going to vote for Rudy or not. I, like most of the American people, haven't made up my mind yet. I"m putting on my political analyzation hat and predicting the future. Someone mentioned Fred Thompson as being a better candidate. What has Fred Thompson accomplished? Last edited by Political_Man : 07-20-2007 at 11:00 AM. |
