Would the Nvidia card be worth the extra money?
Also, I've heard rumors that the 8000 series of AMD's card will be coming out within the next two months. I could hold on to my 6850 a little while longer if that is the case.

I think I'm going to go with the MSI card. I'm waiting on parts to arrive and then I'll post my build. I have to order an SSD, HDD, Corsair H100i and the video card still, but it's coming along. The video card is going to be paid for by my tax returns. The rest I will order on payday.

I've been an nvidia fan ever since UT2004 came out, so I can't make an objective decision. Nvidia has taken up real estate in every single desktop space heater I've owned for nearly a decade.

If your plan is to run mutli monitors then you want to buy ATI. If you are going to run 3d then go with nvidia

Finished building it yesterday. I'm ordering an SSD and a 1TB Samsung Spinpoint storage drive on friday. I still need a couple more fans and I'll be ordering my new video card when taxes come back in. I decided to go with the ASUS GTX 690. I'm also going to be replacing the PSU soon. The 8 pin and 4 pin cables for the motherboard are just barely long enough to reach where they need to be and I hate where the cables are. I'll be going with a nice corsair psu eventually. I'm also going to go with the corsair H100i with 2 extra 120mm SP fans in a push pull setup on the radiator. Anyway, here are some pics.
