Ive only done a simple wrap like the bracelet you made on my wire stock amd65, i did wrap my cold steel bowie and it looked great but ended up taking it off and plan to put grip tape on it instead of the paracord wrap for added grip on the steel.
I made a bunch years ago before they were "cool" using the cobra knot. We made them to have 550 in the woods to use and not take up "space" (other than wrist space).
I'll tie the knot when I get married.

if you gut the 550 cord you can normally slide those beads over both strands

Your inference is incorrect, the gay comment was aimed directly at the OP. Nice attempt on trying to contort this in to something it is not, but that's to be expected from you.

The method/knot you're using isn't a good choice if you actually want to use the 550 somewhere.... There just isn't enough of it.

Which knot there is about 4 different knots in the pics... Solomon bar/Cobra, Half hitch, Diamond, and Lanyard... Most common used is a diamond and lanyard knot. The cobra knot or stitch is mainly used to store extra cordage. We used to make belts our of 100ft rolls. Youll always have 100ft of 550 cord on you at all time if needed. A bracelet is 15 feet give or take, if you need to make shelter or a bed you have 15ft of 550 or 105ft of innerds you can tie shit up with. Thats the point of them. Im not sure why knowing how to tie knots is gay... i learned this shit when i was like 6 in the scouts and royal rangers... I guess i just grew up differently with skills and practical knowledge in mind... Ya know hunting, shooting, survival... people like beavynuts will be one of the first to go when the shit hits the fan. When publix shuts down and his shit lexus runs out of gas and his rolex dies... he'll just sit in a corner and cry himself to death.
