They suck anyway. The majority of their income comes from Law Enforcement, so I hope they choke on cock.

They put Tom in a bad position and rather than stand up to them, he laid down. He is just as bad as they are for doing it.
Hopefully some of their leo contracts that, IMHO, were shady at best get looked at. Of course, most pussy ass police dont want citizens with guns so they'll think this is a good thing.
Firefighters, and EMS, and active duty servicemen, and cops fucking dont "need" them any more than we do. And should not be allowed any more rights to own weapons than the rest of us.
If they "need" them to do their job, they will be provided them by their agency. It's not like active duty military keep their M16's at home or even have access to them at "work", unless they are MP/SP's.
There ya go.OK all, where do I begin? Let's start with the facts.
On December 26th our parent company instituted a policy that restricted the sale of "semi automatic assault rifles" to Law Enforcement Officer's only. Based on discussions within our management group and with our ownership, this policy was expanded to include all "First Responders". This category encompasses LEO's (Including Academy Cadets), Military, Firefighters, EMS Personnel, Corrections Officers, G-License Security, Court Judges, District Attorneys, and Deputy DA's.
This decision was instituted at the top levels of our 100 year old privately held company that is not only a fine upstanding member of the business community, but a very good company to work for who has demonstrated care for their employees in many ways.
We are in a highly politically charged environment these days, and this is a touchstone issue. We are very well aware the decision is not a popular one with many of our customers. I am also acutely aware that saying the decision "is not popular" is an understatement in many cases.
As the General Manager of the Tampa location I could choose to handle this in a number of ways.
1. I could take down our Facebook page and bury my head in the sand until the major fallout passes.
2. I could keep up the facebook page and painstakingly delete and ban users that voice their opinions.
3. I could engage in 10,000 individual and collective arguments as to "why this is a (insert adjective here) decision" and how you are going to make our parent company regret having made this policy.
-OR-
4. I can allow the free flow of opinions, all opinions, and accept that although some of them will likely be rather inflammatory it is a necessary process to go through.
Our location has worked very hard to earn the respect of a great many of you who are fans of this page. I know many of you by name, and a great deal more by face. We genuinely care for our customers...and that is never going to change.
It is my belief, supported by many of the "new fans" we've recently acquired from out of state, that many of the inflammatory things said will be from people who don't know our store, and don't know our people. Again, today's politically charged environment paired with the relative anonymity of social media generates the perfect storm for something like this.
The customers I know...the customers I have and cherish...MAY NOT AGREE with this policy, but they won't strike out at us personally. They won't "boycott" us. They will continue to support us in the same way they have been. Why? Because we care. Because we treat people with respect, and will continue to operate in that manner regardless of everything that is about to be said in response to this post.
I would like to thank our supporters in advance. If you feel so inclined, please let us know you are out there. In times like these you find out who your friends are...and I'm hoping our track record of care and support will carry at least some weight in your decision.
Respectfully,
Tom Sabo
General Manager
DSS / Central Firearms
