Baby's Room

I've been working on the nursery for my little one (still have a ways to go but want to have all the major stuff out of the way.

At any rate, here's some shots over the last four days:

Taped off the upper and lower portion with my helper, Hailey.

After the base color on the bottom and the top color was dry, I masked off the stripe areas (8" wide)....thank god for the laser level

Finished painting the stripes and started to add in the chair rail molding.

I need to do a little touch up here and there and finish up the chair rail molding. I'm pretty happy with hows it turning out and can't wait till my little guy is in there

Thanks! I can't wait for February/March. I'm thinking I'm going to add some crown molding too but I think the wife wants it in our room first and the baby can wait lol.

That looks really nice. I put up a similar chair railing in a friends' baby room, but they ended up just doing a solid pinkish color on the bottom and an off-white on the top. I really like the boxes. Never would have thought to do it before the railing.

Done....for the time being:

I still need to paint/hang some mantle shelves and then figure out how I want some tree branhes to be painted on the walls. Then we have to figure out what kind of crib, changing table, etc we want to get and con one of the grandparents into hooking it up lol.

looks real good. ill be putting on some chair rail in my room today

.. its a nice/easy thing to do. for sure worth it for the look.. i love the stripes.

TIM TIM TIM could be worse	looks real good. ill be putting on some chair rail in my room today.. its a nice/easy thing to do. for sure worth it for the look.. i love the stripes.
