If you want to check out active bars you have to go check out the Hangout Bars! Both offer different lineups. Something different for every night of the week. North Tampa and USF areas. go to www.thehangoutbar.com for schedules. From great music to wild nights... we have it all. I'm proud to own them and I have a great staff! Check out the L.A. Hangout off North Florida or the NEW University Area Hangout off Fowler (this bar is going to blow up!!)

What about Clearwater/N. Pinellas areas? I see Round Up on the list, but what about Shepard's, on their Wed. night (Ladies night)? Is that busy with young girls, or is it an old folks party?

after a looong hiatus (hell these forums look a lot diff now) i've rejoined TF..

good suggestions in this older thread. if anyone ever wants to check out my night (POP N WAVE... it's the Thursday mentioned at the Castle) holler at me sometime and ill slap you on the guest list.

all videos and different from the mainstream top40/hip hop/latin nights around.

If you're looking for a mix of salsa, bachata, hip-hop and reggaeton, Black Beans clears out their tables and turns into a dance club on Friday and Saturday nights. Every time I've been it's been really, really good. It's not too packed either. You just have to watch out for the occassional person who gets spun into you....

Overall though, you'l sweat your ass off and have an amazingly good time doing so!

Black Beans is on Hanley and Waters next to the Bank of America. Cover is $10 and Friday night is Ladies night so they get in free. I'm not sure about the drink specials though since i've never inquired about them.

Stay away from Banana Joes, I got yoked up outa there by the bouncers because the bar tender claims I didn't leave him a big enough tip!!! I have never be yoked up from anywhere in my life.. The bouncers there are aways looking for shit so they can yoke people out of there!

Whats messed up is that I just went back to work and was just celebrating, and I almost went to f%*king jail! Not only will I not go there ever again, but I will make sure 100 people know my damn story!I've been to sky, empire and a few others and never had problems with anyone.

Can anyone think of or recommend a dance club that I can take my girl to in the area? I'm 20 and shes 17 so she can't get in to any of the under 21 clubs i don't believe. We love to dance but cant really find anywhere that we can both get into... Any thoughts are appreciated.

bishop on thursdays it's ladies drink free, but it's so damn packed there it's not even enjoyable, plus you have the little hard thuggish wanna be jits always mean mugging.

push is awesome on weekends... it's upscale but that filters through the little hard thuggish wanna be jits out. their prices on drinks are a little steep but in the long run you're getting a better deal. they make the drinks to get you fucked up so instead of $5 jack and cokes it's $8 but you get more alcohol in the drink. usually a $5 or $10 cover to get in, and lots of hot bitches go there.

vintage-- eh a little to small for my likeing, it's a nice place and all but it can get shoulder to shoulder at times.

you have durty nellys on central ave and 7th st that has some good drink specials. Sunday you buy a wrist band for $3 and pitchers are $3. Mondays is hard times so they have $1 pbr's (16 oz) and the 1st pbr is free (just dont forget to ask for it when you get ID'd). Wednesday nights you have $2 pitchers (no wrist band or anything)

Central billards on central and around 5th st has some good drink specials too. tuesdays and thursdays they have $1.50 beers and $10 beer towers (3L of beer). Wednesdays they have sink or swim $7 and $1 jello shots. they have something for mondays too but i forget

The Venue on ulmertin has a drink special on mondays $2 well drinks... another upscale bar/club
