well, I dont have anyone writing checks other than me (not married) and I always know what funds are "in motion" and what the balances are

I can see your ultimate point to some degree, but if you are that short of cash, even married people need to keep track of what funds they have

I mean having a wife that likes to go on shoe shopping sprees with the debit card while you pay the bills and know you are living paycheck to paycheck seems kind of irresponsible

my ex has had achieva since they were the teachers one and never had a prob.As soon as i would make a deposit it would be available.Only thing i didn't like was that they would only let us have 600.00 to take back out....

She never bounced anything till she couldnt pay it....

its not so much being irresponsible. I can just say personally the economy HAS effected me big time. I know it all comes down to being my fault. If I knew then what I do now, I wouldn't be living here. I wanted to start buying instead of wasting money on rent. I never cared less about the economy until the past year or so I started wanting to know more and more. well I now know that what goes up, must come down.


Anyways, what it boils down to is gte isn't bad if you have money
