Starting a business

Okay. I am pieces a hobby into a business (anodizing and other coatings)

Well.. How do I get started? Paper work wise? I would like this to be legit.

I will be running this out of my garage. Will that be a problem?

some starter reference sites. You will need to search the fictitious name database in FL to make sure you can use whatever name you want. Fill out the paperwork, pay the small fee, and off you go

I beleive on the sunbiz site you can actually E-File a lot of the paperwork.

First You need to figure out how you want to do your corp structure.

Do you have a job as well?

No job. Running this on saved money.

you should talk to a professional about what you should do.

If you do a sole P, and have a loss its really no benefit.

If you do corp, and have a loss, you can throw it on next year

I used a local CPA to help answer questions that I had in regards to forming my small businesses. Here's his contact information:

He setup my Real Estate business as a PA for me, and my Upholster business as an LLC. I've used him on both my business for all my needs with great success, and he's affordable.
