Looking for a good horor/thriller movie

SOmething that came out within the last few years that's pretty good. It could've been limited release, foriegn, independent film doesn't matter just want a good one to watch.....Thanks.

28 Days later - was an indy film. They only spent like 600k to make and grossed over 20+mil.

Do you really like horror, or do you like hollywood horror?

If you want to mindfuck yourself, possibly puke (a few friends needed a trashcan from gagging so hard), or cry check out Martyrs. It's in french (IIRC).

Another badass movie is The Inside. Also in french I believe.

Splinter was actually a pretty badass movie. I think it went to straight to dvd and was lumped with movies like the hill have eyes 2. We watched it and were thoroughly surprised by it.

Also check out Let the right ones in, the swedish? movie about the little kid vampire.

If you like the zombie genre, check out Dance of the Dead.. which is a teenage zombie/horror comedy that is surprisingly very well executed.

Also if you like zombies you HAVE to check out Dead Snow (Dod Sno). An amazing zombie movie about nazi zombies coming back to life.

Another amazingly horrifying movie was Baby Blues... about a mother with severe case postpartum depression trying to kill her kids... absolutely shocking!

You can get most of these on x264 by the way...

Horror/thriller is by far my favorite genre so this is just the tip of the iceberg for what I have seen lately, let me know if you want more suggestions.

Hehe if you want an oddball B one called the Burrowers that takes place in the old west..it came out last year.

Dead Snow was pretty good (as mentioned).

I watched splinter a while backand it was actually very well executed IMHO.

If you haven't seen it... definitely watch the thing. Probably one of my favorite movies of all time.

I stole this next list from Eli Roth, but it's an AMAZING list.

Also have you seen Eraserhead? I fucking love that movie, but most people I know don't... It's NUTS.

I'm not sure if you'd like it, because I don't know what music you're into, but there is a version of Nosferatu the vampire with the soundtrack re-recorded by Type-O-Negative.

Also check out Dead Birds.. but don't be discouraged by the beginning, just keep watching.

Ravenous is pretty good, but if you watch the trailer, I feel that it's made to look more comical then it really is. It's truly dark horror, and the subject of cannibalism is pretty foul.

hrmm... also check out Frailty, Audition, and The Orphanage...
