Stargate Universe

I thought it was pretty good. It combined the Battlestar Galactica spirit, with a Stargate theme, and threw in a bit of "Lost in Space" to get the love child that is called "Stargate: Universe."

i thought it was pretty good too. i have been a big stargate fan since season 2 of sg1, so i was a bit skeptical at first, but im looking forward to seeing what happens.

Don't have high expectations about it right at first. The character's are just being developed at this point.

never really been crazy about the Stargate TV franchise. The movie was alright when I was like 9 or 10 years old and the concept was absolutely incredible but I've never gotten into the shows.

Looked good.. seems to have left a lot of the camp from SG1/Atlantis out and have some interesting cast members.

So far they have both been useless.

The guy that plays the Lieutenant just doesn't fit that role...It should have went to someone who didn't look like a 16 year old

I kind of agree..

On the other hand it will lead to a lot of character development for him, which is nice as the seasons progress... It doesn't become the same thing every single episode.

I liked it... Although I can tell we are up for a rather slow season as you know the entire first season will most likely be devoted to either fixing the ship and/or finding a new world to land on.

My bets are for fixing the ship for the entire season 1.

I'm only on season 8 of SG1, and still have many seasons of Atlantis to watch still....not to mention BSG. I'll probably start this one next year, maybe...

well the smart fat kid will be taking on rodney mckays roll gotta have the smart person of course

and as for the Lt. he looks early 20's 22/23 perhaps which could be right i know many people that will be Lt. at the age of 22. throwin it out there but like said it will let him develop more. (didnt he say he just got out of training in the episode?)

so far i liked it different from the usual SG but in a good way.

yeah i think it said it was his 1st assignment. i thought it was pretty decent. And yeah i'm sure all season 1 is to fixing the ship. possibly seasons 2 and 3

you forgot to throw sliders in the mix with having to be back on the ship by a certain time or getting left behind. I'll watch it to see where it goes
