As far as Sales go Tupac, Eminem & 50 Cent are probably the top 3. And as far as Outkast is concerned their last album was Stankonia because the 2 after were fucking horrible and not Outkast. All time for me is Tupac, Nas, Biggie or Jay-Z. I hold them all in the same category.

There are SO MANY Great Hip Hop Artists, but I don't think anyone can name greats with out first knowing or understanding the difference between Hip Hop and RAP.

I love Nas. But this catagory really never works. I mean you gotta take into account when what artist was in there prime, how many years in the game, actual lyrics not beats(which alot of people base their opinions off), etc.

Biggie or LL Cool J - both are lyrically awesome...they are solo artists and not groups...the group debate is a hard thing to choose IMO

I agree with Mike, but again Personal Opinion plays a large roll here. For instance I'm gonna get flammed, I HATE 2 Punk. I don't like his voice, lyrics, or beats. Nothing about him appeals to me. Then again he's sold more albums Dead than most alive! LOL So.. it's all in what you like/or are into.

Most of todays rap is just about bitches, hoes, cars, drugs and money. Look at music 15 yrs ago and it was about subjects TOTALLY different and the music was JUST as good if not better..

All in what you like.
