For hip hop/rap/etc... The answer is simple:

Tupac and Biggie, anyone that has come out in the last 10 years cannot hold a single candle to either of them, they blow them out of the water that much! I'm not even a big fan of rap and I know this.

You would be wrong. There have been artists lyrically on their level since they've died and while they were alive.

You listen to the radio for Hip Hop that's your problem. Just because it isn't on the radio doesn't mean its underground.

Just because someone is at or above a certain level lyrically, doesn't make them any more or less entertaining to listen to. Well, at least for some people. I guess it all comes down to why you listen to the music and what part of it you like. I could care less about the intricacies or the lyrics and how they rhyme, as long as it sounds good at the end.

That being said, I'm gonna have to go with Kris Kross. LYRICAL GENIUSES!

there are alot of great "hip hop" artist out there, its hard to call one the greatest...but IMO Eminem is the most talented, as long as its not one of his songs lol
