issues with ZoneAlarm

this may not be the right forum; but i am not able to see most pics in profiles etc. when I have ZoneAlarm running. Any way i can fix that without turning off ZoneAlarm.

Thanks
Dave

Uninstall zonealarm, it's useless.

Problem solved.

ZoneAlarm is absolute shit, get rid of it. If you MUST have some type software firewall enabled, stick with windows firewall....

honestly though, you don't need ZoneAlarm OR Windows Firewall if you're behind a router.

If your PC is on a DMZ port of a router or connected directly to the Modem w/o a hardware firewall, enable windows firewall and call it day. Keep it simple and free up some of your resources.

zonealarm is good regardless of what they say

anyway, u cant see the pics because the adblocker is on

go to the privacy tab, and turn the adblocker off

also, being behind a router doesnt mean u dont need a firewall. most router firewalls are even worse than windows firewall is, (hint on most). linksys router is absolute shit as far as the firewall comes in and somebody with just barely any hacking experience can easily break it. D-Link its like its note even there. if u have a cisco router ur pretty safe off just using the routers firewall.

windows firewall is such a poor example of how to protect your computer. it does shit on keeping the bad stuff out, and does everything it can on keeping the good stuff in.

still for a fresh install of windows its all ull need
because theres nothing ur protecting aside from system resources.

anyway, like i said, its zonealarm adblocker, just turn that off or configure it to allow images and animations to play and ur fine. (i have an adblocker plugin in firefox that i use that is more able to identify good images from adimages because it uses a filter, rather than just blocks everything that isnt locally hosted on the server im accessing)
