If anything, this may be a good move in the fact that they can evaluate Freeman, since he'll have a good number of games to get experience. Then they'll know whether they need to draft another QB or not. Granted, I know Freeman won't be perfect since rookies never are, but if they start him for the remaining 9 games, he should be able to show some semblance of development.

If he continues to improve, it would add TONS of stability to QB, and TB has never been known for that. I would love to see the Bucs with a steady QB that develops into a great player, and spend our drafts and money picking up guys we need.
