it's not hate. yankees fans are like dallas cowboys fans, anything less than winning it all is a failure and people have to be fired and others bought/brought in. glad they got another one, but i really hope this isn't the start of another 4-5 year period of their "domination"...no salary cap in baseball just hurts sometimes.

You spend $200 Million Dollars and players every year and you are going to "run into" a few good teams. The Yankee's success in the late 90's was do to the fact that they actually developed players(Posada, Jeter, Bernie Williams, Pettite,Rivera) and used the cash to keep them as well as bring in free agents.

No other team in baseball has the ability to just go out and pick up Burnett, Sabathia, and Teixiera in an off season. The Yankees had a good shopping list of free agents to pick from and everyone for the most part stayed healthy this year, throw in $201,000,000 and you get a World Series.

I dont see a problem with spending .. If your team is able to spend the damn money spend it fuck sitting on it like the Bucs do. The yankees just picked guys that worked out for them this year. CC was great unlike most of the #1's they have had recently. Mark teixeira was a beast except for the World series. Aj Burnett was up and down i think alot of teams had better #2 then him. The Yankees , RedSox, Cubs will always spend the most and the Rays, Marlins , Twins and A's will always spend the least. That is just the way it will always be

Pretty good. He has a World Series ring and start pitching really great after he got really healthy. You realize the Red Sox would never had to have pay as much if the Yankees didn't exist right? Every team has to drive up their price and overpay just to compete with the Yankees. Yes Phil Cokes 13.50 ERA in the WS was quite good.

As far as Andy Pettite in the downside of his career by the by has made been paid 37.5 million dollars for 3 years work. You're right he wasn't bought, no not at all.

If there was a Salary Cap the league would be more competitive and the same teams wouldn't always be first and last. I'd say the reason 90% of the teams payrolls are so high are because of the Yankees and trying to outbid in free agency. You really don't know shit about your team, do you?
