minimum grade

Anybody know where I can find out the minimum grade needed to pass a certain a class?

The class is probabiliyt and statitics for engineers. Do I need a c or c-? to pass?

Where can I find this out?

The reason I ask is I sit at a 72 average for the class and I don't really want to take the final.

73 is a C.

Pretty sure you only need a C- to move on, but can not find anything to confirm that. Ask the advising office.

I asked the secratary in advising and she said C but I don't see where she found that. It seem to me she just looked through a bunch of files and couldn't find an answer

I don't see why they give c- if you need a C.. Why even give a c- just like D.. Just give an F!

I looked on some of the engineering catalog info. It says:

Completion of the following: EGN 3311, EGN 3343, EGN 3443 and EGN 3373 with grades of C or better, (C- is insufficient), is required before registration in specialization courses will be permitted.

However, this is not specific to Mechanical Engineering though so I would ask Hess.

And for the record, I know people that have gotten D's in classes and were allowed to move on if it is not a prerequisite for anything. I know that Stats is a prereq for Mech Lab I though so my advice: don't risk it.

I got a D in Earth Science... ironically my only grade lower than a B ever. I'll blame being homeless during that semester. However, I've never had to repeat it and as it wasn't a building block for anyone else no one cared.

As of right now I have a 71.63 in the class. On his syabbulus it says 73% is a C

I have a C- right now.

Yes, he ended up dropping the minus system and only using the plus system.
